I don't care if it takes away from Harden's MVP or anything like that. The main problem with the way the media treats us is I am sure it effects our marketing and bottom dollar in some decent way. Less money the franchise is making less will be spent on it. Also it probably effects some players minds in free agency. This is why it is an issue. Its okay though, haters gonna hate.

the Rockets primary rotation literally consists of all players playing in an environment that maximizes their potential with no one taking significantly more or less responsibility than their skill set and role dictates of them. Is it no wonder that we're doing so well? It's not a story that the media will salivate over, but it's one you can sit back and hope to enjoy the potential upside of, much like with our Astros the past season.

I once approached Morey in person and said “it’s an honor to finally meet you, DaDakota”. He got a good chuckle out of it.

I don't want to tell you that Santa Claus is not real and the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist.

    But I have to now.

Max Kellerman gets paid to disagree with Stephen A Smith. That's it. He DOES NOT CARE about the NBA or who wins the MVP.

Like at DisneyWorld when you meet Mickey Mouse and he waves at you, he is just getting paid to wave at you.

If my job required me to disagree with my counter part I will do it because that's my job.
And that millions of suckers think my show makes any significant impact on their lives and the lives of their favorite teams and players so that advertisers will realize this is a sucker's gold mine.

Axe body spray commercials and Wendy's bacon nators

Can't say I'm surprised. But honestly, though I don't agree with the tnt analysts on the Rockets, I'm not going to say they're totally invalid. As some of you have said, the reason they immediately say "they cant compete with golden state" is because they hav high expectations for us and havent been convinced that we can take down other 1st tier teams and be a legitimate contender. I think this season has proven that at the very least, being 1st in the west, that we belong in that 1st tier category. But I must admit I'm a little antsy to see us play and beat any one of those top-tier teams. I think we've proven we can beat the good-average and the trash teams, but I just want to see how well this all translates against the celtics, spurs, cavs, & warriors at full strength.

Super glad we won on opening night against the warriors and that we beat a struggling cavs team. It showed a lot of promise, but kinda just want to see if where we are at now is good enough to beat these top tier teams as they're getting better and reaching their ceilings too. The reason for all the media's hesitation on us is because of how well we've done in the regular season only to be exposed in the playoffs. Of course we believe that cp3 will help way more than Barkley sees (I really don't know how he doesn't get how cp3 alleviating pressure on Harden will help Harden stay at Harden-level when it matters most), but the other top tier teams are getting better too and until we consistently show we can beat them, we'll continue to not get the benefit of the doubt. Not that it matters much about getting the media's approval. It's just about showing we can beat those teams.

Lookin forward to dec. 15 (spurs even without kawhi), dec. 28 (celtics), and jan. 4 (warriors)
eh, and I really hope we destroy the thunder on christmas day so that stephen A will eat his words and have to apologize as he often does for being wrong.

Last night he said something like “Chris pail and James Harden but uh oh...Steph and Klay! Steph and Klay! They better than those guys.”

I mean I agree that the warriors have more talent than the rockets and that their best four is better than our best four. I’ll even accept Steph and Durant as better than James and Chris. But Steph and Klay are not better than James and Chris.

Not only that nonsense, but Shaq said cp3 has never been known for his defense

Total WTH comments. I'm shocked that someone...one of them at least...didn't refute the comments about Paul nor the Rockets playing D...And Klay and Steph better than Harden and Paul stated as an irrefutable comment.

This is why you guys are announcers and not like you're wannabe peers running basketball teams.

I remember he said Klay is the 2nd best player in the NBA behind Lebron which is funny considering he is the 4th best player on their team.

with the circle of idiots put in place to cover this league, it's looking like very little chance harden will ever be voted mvp. hopefully continues trolling them though so at least we'll have that.

We can have a conversation without condescending remarks like these. Maybe you aren’t understanding.
I don’t need you to explain how these shows work, most semi-intelligent people watching one show can see how they work. My issue is the rhetoric and the ignorant people that follow suit when these so called “experts” literally lie to prove points. Case in point, Shaq tonight talking about CP3.

It sets a bad narrative regarding the team that can have negative ramifications regardless if you think or not.

I was downtown celebrating in 94 and 95. Can remember the feeling like it was yesterday. I also remember all the vitriol that was said then in a less connected world regarding the championships being with an * by them.
I get that it doesn’t matter what people say, prove them wrong, worry about what you can control.
    That’s for players.
    Fans discuss.
If you don’t think the overwhelming negative view of Rockets and mainly Harden affects the Rockets, fine, I don’t feel that way. Also don’t think that they or we should sit there and be ok with “experts” lying about them either.

I can see that too. I would hope that it doesn’t but when these image conscious “Superstars” think hey, this team might not be good for my image, I could see that affecting Rockets.

TNT guys not sure how the Rockets will do in the playoffs? Sure! But you could say that to any team (sans previous championship with almost the same roster) doing well in any regular season.

But if you have to bet on which team will probably win in the playoffs, it would be logical to pick the team that did well in the regular season. 74% of number 1 seeds won the championship.
