Yeah, CP3 kinda makes it impossible. Was more a free agent fantasy I had entering 2017, I think a Harden-Blake Griffin pairing would work pretty well hypothetically. Not gonna happen now, though.

And there lies the problem. When was the last time he was healthy? He seems to always get hurt.

Clint is nearly the same player as DJ, and much younger. I don’t see why we’d want him.

Big difference between Harden/Crispy and Rivers/whoever.

Chins offensive numbers are meaningless. DJ would duplicate/surpass them. If we trade for DJ it will be about the defense.

1.1 blocks vs 1.8 blocks, in capela's favor.
Also, clint is a far better perimeter defender than DeAndre, and the ability to switch everything is one of the most coveted defensive abilities, not saying he can put the clamps on curry 1v1, but he can at least say in front of his man.

Besides, even if a shitty team like the Mavs throw something crazy like 5 years/100 million at him this offseason and we can't keep him, DeAndre will be a Free Agent and we would be the #1 target.

Clint and Jordan are two different kinds of players.

I will say this, If Capela doesn't mature enough to be a man in the paint by the trade deadline I go ahead and pull the trigger. We can't risk this special season just because we want to give Clint the benefit of the doubt.

Dropping Nene and adding D Jordan would be great. Capela can't seem to play more than 30 minutes for some reason anyway.

    I don't see this happening.

Morey won't trade Capela for an older slightly better defensive version in Jordan. This move is lateral at best.

The way this team has gelled and is playing right now, the only starter position where an upgrade would truly make a difference is small forward. Ariza is great in his role as a 3-and-D specialist, but if Morey is going to make a splash, then he would target LeBron James or Paul George.

Again, I don't see us making trades that don't really shift the needle in beating the Warriors.

Anyone else cringing hard when bbhollic keeps saying "crispy"?! Jesus Christ

Also has this geezer backed off of his Jeff "Whithey is a better player than capela" prediction?

If I don't see Capella man up in the paint this year I'd might do it. Without Harden I don't think Capella is that special really. Does his job well though with Houston

This is exactly what I worry about. Clint is fine against certain match up. However, he struggles against someone who is bigger than him. Rockets D is doing fine for now because NeNe is still very good, but he is 35 and there is no guarantee that he will be healthy throughout the season.
