The Senate Repubs need to pump the brakes on OOJ, until the tax cut bill passes.

Not really a fantasy anymore when already four are indicted and two have plead guilty. Maybe there was something to it. ;)

Good on Mueller for pursing (and continuing to pursue) this investigation.

It kind of is still a fantasy given that the only thing that has come out of this thus far has been a few low lying fruit type charges and that's not what is being fantasized about. Despite the fake news that came out a few days ago and was spread by our friends on the left, the fantasy of having something to take down Donald Trump seems to be dying as there still isn't any evidence of Russian collusion or anything else noteworthy.

I don't think any possibility is "dying," aside from the possibility of Trump's name, historically, having no taint of this scandal.

But where I agree with Bobby, and that is so so rare, is that I think a lot of liberals are setting themselves up for massive disappointment. With a GOP controlled Congress until at least 2020, (let's be real, right?), and Two Scoops gearing up to test the true power of his pardoning battle station, I don't really think we're headed for impeachment of any kind. Hell, parts of the house are looking into ways to further discredit the FBI at this point.

And I still fear Two Scoops can win in 2020, even the brain-addled, unhealthy, tweeting version of him by 2020. Just wait until the attack machine gears up on Biden (it's already started) or Kamala Harris (the GOP playbook writes itself and resonates with the whitist core support).

I don't know if "setting up for a disappointment" is in front of me regardless of outcome. I am simply wanting the investigation to go where it will and work its way through to completion. If Trump and the republicans in congress somehow circumvent the wheels of justice, I will certainly be disappointed that Trump and his republican supporters hurt the Justice and Political institutions that are core to America, but what can you do.

Seeing Trump and his supporters actively supporting Moore, and minimizing/ignoring what has already come to light, I won't be surprised by what may come. And sure, it will be disappointing. But is is what it is.

Yeah, I didn't mean anyone around here specifically. Just referencing a lot of my hair-on-fire colleagues in SF again. Le sigh. :)

this is pretty funny coming from you given that "circumventing the wheels of justice" is EXACTLY what happened when it came to a certain presidential candidate that you doggedly supported. Were you "disappointed" in the Obama administration and Democrat supporters for actually doing what you are suggesting might happen with Trump and as such baseless allegations?

    Of course not, because tribalism.

Your hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.
