what to you does it take for the Rockets to reach stratosphere, get 60+ wins and get one of the best Rockets teams ever assembled to reach it potential? To me they will reach it once Harden and CP3 produce with the kind of ridiculous, amazing, mind-blowing efficiency they BOTH play with when one of them is off the court. This will require more than just CP3 and Harden standing around, waiting for the ball and not much involved in setting off-the-ball screens and cutting. I think it can be done.

So again, what do you think needs to happen for us to take that next step in just be probably one of the best Rockets teams ever assembled?

I think we are seeing small things, Like Capela making that eurostep a regular part of his arsenal.. I dont think the slow footed centers will be able to stop that stuff.. I agree, I think Harden should be watching a-lot of Reggie Miller and Ray Allen and learn to move with out the ball.. He is such a dangerous shooter and even better spot up shooter, he could be close to 42-43% if he does catch and shoot more. He can probably run better pick and roles with CP3 where he is recipient of the passes.. Of course rockets will have to go with a smaller line up and replace Capella with a shooter.

If you maintain a top 5 defense then you have seen the results for yourself.

need to move the ball more. Too many isolation plays.

even though we've been blowing teams out but that's because of our defense leading to easy buckets.

our offense though really great at the moment sometimes is stagnant and we rely too much on isolation. this won't work against the better teams especially in the playoffs

hes not that type of shooter/player and won't be. just like how they aren't the type of player harden is and never will be.

the only player who plays Isolation is Harden, because he is the best iso player in the league by a mile.. Paul hardly plays any isolation and is always doing play calling, setting pick and roles, penetrating and ditching.. I dont see the problem.. Harden is just too good at Iso

Top 5 defense is definitely something we need to keep up, but that's something we've had and will not get us to another level in my opinion. Having Harden and CP3 totally in-sync will. This is far from a negativity / bash Harden / too much iso thread, which some seem to allude to.

    Reach 38% 3PT as a team.

Rockets are currently ranked 13th with .365, but rising fast. They were ranked Bottom 10 about 3 games ago.

Ah yes, good call! We actually have 4 players shooting over 40% from three: Harden, Ryan, CP3 & Luc. I can definitely see us reaching the mountain top once Gordon's shooting touch comes back around, Ryan maintains his touch on all courts and our star duo keeps shooting the way they do.

Once Harden and Paul integrate new 2-man plays with each other. Right now, it’s those two taking turns to run the same plays when the first one is stopped. Which is not a bad thing at all considering they are two of the best playmakers in the game. The strength of this team is the option to stagger two elite playmakers throughout the game. Once Paul and Harden figure out how to maximize production when they’re on the floor at the same time, we’ll start seeing more 30-point blowouts. But if they don’t, it’s still good enough for best in the West so far
