What does the start date of the season matter in terms of away schedule?

 

It was on a three point attempt.
As someone who has had back issues and is 1 yr removed from back surgery, I feel his pain -- almost literally.
Keep him out a few weeks if necessary. Absolutely no reason for him to play through injury this early in the season when we're playing well enough to do without him.

 

I was listening to 610 on my way out of Houston a few weeks ago and they were talking about how this has become a thing in the last few years.
Personally, it sounds more like appeasement for Harden, cause they know he's going to go out at night regardless.
Also, players are so big on working out or shooting after games that coaches probably feel they're getting enough reps in.

 

Way to make it about harden when it has nothing to do with him. Quit putting mindless bias towards something that has no basis for the clubs decision.

They have opted to skip shoot around because they feel getting an adequate good nights rest is more important than waking up early for a very tedious and light workout/shoot around.

The science backs this btw. Rest is severely underrated and is a hugeeee part of muscle growth and fitness.

Also, when we are away and have a day off the following day, rather than fly back late that night they stay in town and fly back the next day in order to secure sound sleep.

The club is very committed to this new strategy of putting importance on sleep, and so far it’s paid off huge dividends.

Eric Gordon has been quoting saying his rebirth of explosiveness is due to the amount of sleep he currently gets. Which he states he can easily sleep for 12+ hours, the longer the better.

 

Again, I said it was my own opinion. I'm well aware of my bias, I'm quite open with it. I love Harden, but he likes to party and he doesn't like to play defense very often. Not sure why you got so hung up on the Harden comment considering I acknowledged that other teams have been doing this and players are getting into the gym to get their reps anyways.

Some people get so angry when people don't worship the ground at Harden's feet.

Because your putting blind bias and narrative on something that has no accord to the situation.

Sure maybe it benefits harden if he goes out on his day off on a Friday but it also benefits Troy Williams and Clint capela and every one else.

That’s the reason behind it, it benefits the team and the entirety of its players. Not just because “James harden clubs at strip clubs all the time because I seen the picture of him with no shirt and a leopard cowboy hat on” but because it benefits the club as it has been obvious for the start of the season.

 

Harden is a bad person. Gotten too many lap dances and is not a leader. Plus he is killing the game with no defense and flops.

Cant root for. Plz trade him for a good person like klay thompson. Klay has never paid for a lap dance before.

 

Pretty lame ass ivory tower to say Harden shouldn't enjoy his youth. He isn't slapping women around or having a new child every month.

Some people are just hatin' ass tricks.

No I'm not. I listed 2 other legitimate reasons why they don't need morning shoot around. You just chose to focus on one because you are hyper sensitive about defending Harden. I never said "just because," I was pretty clear that there were other legitimate reasons, but that I felt that Harden's lifestyle played a part.

 

Antawn Jamison is clearly naive on how the MVP award is voted.

I'm happy Rockets are getting some praise for their play, but I was disappointed it was Brent Barry making the comments. Brent is not one of the haters that thought Harden and CP3 wouldn't work. He is one of the few on NBATV that make sound NBA analysis.

I thought I was coming in here to see a convert to what the Rockets are doing. Isaiah Thomas, Kenny, or Mchale.

I'll take it though.
