Yea but at least he's holding people way below the avg fg% when iso'd. Not many players shoot 25% in the nba

Harden is a lot of things. "The best isolation defender in the NBA" he is not.

2:29 mark of the video below, would have never happened with harden just even last year. CP3 and Luc must be giving harden defensive tips

that is coming down as well. 4.1 per game the last 10, 3.2 in the past 5 but in our fast paced game, turnovers will happen at some point. Lots of his are losing the ball or offensive fouls

    Yes he has
    .

I was taking a jab at all those Cousins fans. Having both on the same team “might” be a turnover party

And to the media who loves them some Westbrook all day all the time. They criticize Harden for TO’s.
Where are you with Westbrook. Harp on it all season.

It’s expected from Harden.......or is it now

It's simple logic why. Who does Harden guard, who does Ariza guard?

NBA.com stat group doesn't need to convey it any differently, just takes another step to think about it.

To be honest you have to factor in that fact that he has Clint Capela behind him and the help defense. It's a nice stat regardless

The point is that putting a number on it is just not very informative if you don’t also put a number on how good the opposition is. And even accounting for that, one may reasonably question how reliable the measurement is for such a small sample size.

Oh man, if you want to go there you can really decipher every stat they post like that. I mean, we both know these stats are surface level numbers. They don't paint the real picture. It's why I don't agree with any of these stats. And it's why you'll see me go on tangents when people portray them for something that they really are not. @seeingredtx

Ideally, every event accounted for by one of these stats would have video clips one could refer to in order to fully digest what its saying. NBA teams probably have software that do just this. That way, one can find something interesting that jumps out in the numbers (e.g. a player with a rep for bad defense appears to have really good defensive numbers) and check out what’s really going on there.

Almost every NBA has that at this point, the only difference is some use it, some don't, and the one's that do use it have their completely own proprietary software to analyze the real meaning behind it.

I get that you're looking for a bigger story out of the stats here, but I find this isolated stat to be a good one for James. He has a reputation for being a poor defender, but if teams try to isolate on him and attack him as being the 'weakest link' it just doesn't work.
