Off the top of my head, we have: The creation of the first Big Three of Pierce, Allen and Garnett making Celtics Champions and instantly turning the franchise around. The proverbial robbery of the Nets. Obtaining Hayward and Irving each at a great price. Last but not least, in effect traded Fultz for Tatum and future 1st round pick. Tatum is now considered consensus best pick while Fultz is teetering on busto status.
Hes good but not clearly the top gm. Morey, buford, are pretty dang good. I also think hinky had a chance to be really good.
"Fultz is teetering on busto status." what? I was distracted from your whole thread status from this asinine statement
What makes OKC 4th? Very poor decision with the Harden trade, never surrounded KD with a good supporting cast and now desperately traded young talents for two aging stars who never won anything. They could come out of this with absolutely nothing if Westbrook and Melo jump ship.
So he's calling it after 4 games. I'm sure that article had some legit observations, but basing anything off of 4 games (injured games at that) is completely f**king stupid.
They had the young big 4 before losing them but for Westbrook. Went to the finals. Harden situation put them in a tough spot. They chose to think harden wanted to leave anyway for a starting spot or max money or whatever to make them stomach their mistake better. The correct choice would have been to give harden the max and the starting spot if he needed that too. I liked the trade for Oladipo, but losing Durant made the coach sacrifice all the other player's game for Westbrook's triple double stats for the MVP. You can't mock their front office without agreeing to the notion that Russell had no help last year to justify his stat padding.
