If we were to add another player to the rotation, that would probably be a guard/wing rather than a big. We have 5 rotational players for C/PF spots (Capela/Nene/Black/Ryan/Tucker), but only 3 guards (Harden, Paul, EG). If the Jazz stay in the playoff race, JJ won't be bought out. Otherwise he would be a good candidate. Belinelli would be the dream add, but not a likely buyout as the Hawks can get something back for him. I wouldn't mind offering them a 2nd round pick, but not sure if that would get it done. There will be plenty of interest for him come trade deadline. Even then we would need to give up Onuaku, Troy and Brown to match salaries. Afflalo would be another interesting option, but he has a low contract so not much incentive for Orlando to let him go unless they just want to be nice to him.
The way Gordon is playing I'd be afraid to bring in another guard. Clearly he's worried about his role In the offense and bringing in another guard mighty mess that up even more
Clearly he is worried about his role? Huh? Source? Link? His role seems pretty damn defined and set in stone to me. 26-30 minutes of the best version of himself next to JH and CP. An emergency guard isn’t going to change that.
He can worry about his role all he wants (but I don't think he is), but me, I am worrying about his HEALTH. It will always be a concern. The more depth the better. EGO needs to worry about his next contract, he's motivated.
looks like Jameer Nelson and Tony Allen are heading to CHI and those two are probably going to hit the market soon. We should upgrade our backup PG spot with Nelson. He's smart and nows his role.
