The point, since you missed it, isn't the specific racial content, but the fact that he chose to slam a political opponent when he was supposed to be honoring heroes from WWII. For someone who likely takes issue with NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, you sure don't seem all that concerned that the CinC dishonored ACTUAL WAR HEROES during a ceremony where he was supposed to be honoring them.

What Trump did was low class for sure, it was taking a political shot at an inappropriate time, but that's really all it was. Like I said before, I personally find the nickname to be insulting to the actual Pocahontas, and as such it should never be used describing a white woman who pretended to be native American to steal a bit of their benefits, but I think it's important to educate people as to what Elizabeth Warren did. Her actions were inexcusable, worse so than calling her out at an inappropriate time even using a nickname that is disrespectful to the historical figure.

If it was someone better than Trump that did it, I would suggest that they need to apologize for disrespecting the historical figure, but I think we all know Trump is a scumbag and I see no reason why we should expect more from someone like him.
