he is a great coach. What were they expecting out of him? Gasol is trash too acting like a douchebag parsons.
ya i mean he squeezed wins out of that team solely by getting them to play harder and hack harder, knowing the refs would get tired of blowing the whistle. do these morons really think that JB is going to right the ship now lol
Last game the bench went on a run and got them within 5 late in the 4th. Marc got up expecting to finish the game but Fizz said no no. They lost, Fizz said he just wanted to ride the hot hand, Marc threw a fit in post game interview, Fizz got fired.
Cavs need to stop having wet dreams about Gasol, I get Grizzlies made it clear that they are keeping him.
I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but I feel like even when he was running the rockets he wasn't the loudest voice in the room. He needs his team to listen to and respect him. I just remember the Harden and Howard issues, and him basically doing nothing. I wish him the best, but kinda fear he won't fix what is bothering the Grizz.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23330851/jb-bickerstaff-named-memphis-grizzlies-head-coach The Memphis Grizzlies reached agreement with J.B. Bickerstaff on a three-year contract to become the franchise's head coach, league sources told ESPN. Bickerstaff coached the final 63 games of the regular season as the Grizzlies' interim head coach, while often limited in personnel. He replaced David Fizdale, who was fired on Nov. 27 after a 7-12 start. Despite a 15-48 record, Bickerstaff made a strong impression on management and Grizzlies players under difficult circumstances and ultimately became a clear choice within the organization to become elevated to the full-time coaching role.
It's another symptom of the Grizzlies wishing they were in the Eastern Conference. They finally got too old to imitate the '04 Pistons. Next thing they'll hire Sam Hinkie.
