The fact that they lost their bench and veteran, veteran leadership - not that Randolph is great anymore, but was as much the "heart" of the team as anything - in an NBA where a ton of other teams improved, and that Conley would probably excel in a more guard heavy system anyway... AND in a summer where big name players were on the move... AND with all of that plus this seemingly inevitability, they still didn't try and move Gasol at the deadline... is surprising. Now they're stuck with Gasol and JB Bickerstaff!!

Your man was a fall guy for a mediocre to bad organization. Then again firing David Blatt was a fall guy move...... Franchise players ultimately get rid of the head coach if they don't like them. James knows that.... he did the same damn thing...... and I am fine with it, but don't single out Fizdale as the exception to the rule.
