    Seems like a dumb organization.
    But who knows.

All I know is Gasol was -17 in the third quarter last night and benching him was the right move.

Pau's little brother has a lot of pull in the Memphis front office and ownership circles.

I despise the Grizzlies but not even my worst enemy deserves such a fate.

The fact that they lost their bench and veteran, veteran leadership - not that Randolph is great anymore, but was as much the "heart" of the team as anything - in an NBA where a ton of other teams improved, and that Conley would probably excel in a more guard heavy system anyway...

AND in a summer where big name players were on the move...

AND with all of that plus this seemingly inevitability, they still didn't try and move Gasol at the deadline... is surprising.

    Gasol for PG
Gasol for Irving [sure, Irving and Conley play the same positions... but in today's NBA, why not?]
    Gasol to Boston for picks

    All at least realistic.

Now they're stuck with Gasol and JB Bickerstaff!!

JB has no business being 100 miles near a basketball stadium. Btw, where did Finch go?

    Moral of the story:

    Bench Favorite Son, get fired.

    Here endeth the lesson.

P.S. In the meantime, Chandler Parsons is still on bed rest and Motrin long after the only game he shows up for (Rockets). (No, don't go check, I did make it up, but it FEELS true, amIrite?)

P.P.S.: Wait, how can Bickerstaff be named coach? First thing he'll do is ask Memphis to trade for Corey Brewer: "This guy is....totally misunderstood! I'm like the boss at FedEx! I can make him deliver!"

Parsons, smh. If he can't redeem himself even just a little, he will become an infamous cautionary tale or parable or something.

Your man was a fall guy for a mediocre to bad organization.

Then again firing David Blatt was a fall guy move......

Franchise players ultimately get rid of the head coach if they don't like them.

James knows that.... he did the same damn thing...... and I am fine with it, but don't single out Fizdale as the exception to the rule.
