I would agree with that too....but them doing something wrong doesn't justify others embarrassing themselves as a reaction.
There's a difference between bored folks on the internet shaking their heads in outrage and laughing at hypocrisy and someone else using their "feigned outrage" to get elected and implement social and economic policy built on hypocritical pandering. I'm going to assume you agree with that.
the thread is about republican pedophiles. what exactly are you doing here? so far i just see someone defending them. your knowledge of age of consent laws in europe is "interesting" i guess. you dont like trump and you dont support him...yet you are one of his staunchest defenders on here. you dont like roy moore and other pedophiles...yet here you are defending them. you claim you are non-partisan, but you are making pedophilia a partisan issue.
Is it really though? I mean, perhaps some examples are legit, but others just show a level of ignorance when it comes to what words mean and that's just sad. Since this is a pretty ridiculous and pointless partisan troll thread to begin with, I think it's best if it's used as a learning experience. If we can eliminate just a little bit of ignorance on this board, we'll all be better for it.

It's just a troll thread, it would be no different if someone started a thread about how the overwhelming majority of violent crimes are committed by Democrats and the overwhelming majority of felons in the country are also Democrats. I mean, sure that's true, but it would be just trolling to point it out because you'd be suggesting a causal link rather than just coincidence and there's no evidence of that. Same goes for this cherry picked list, you could make a similar list of Democrats. There's no causal link between sexual kinks and political affiliation and it's just stupid to suggest otherwise.....also, you still don't seem to know what "pedophilia" means and it's just distracting.
The age of consent might be lower in Europe (Here it is 16). A 30 year old trying too have sex with a 14 year old is still not acceptable. So we do not have such a different take on things.
Depends on the country, that would be acceptable in several European countries. Italy for example. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, it would be illegal in the US and that's the only thing that matters so those found guilty of doing so should pay the price for it. I'm just saying that there is a bit of overreaction when it comes to things like that....you know, like people calling it "pedophilia" despite that not being the case at all. Those who ignore what words mean might as well call it necrophilia.
I looked a few of these up. This guy went to Baptist Bible College in OKC, married to his “high school sweetheart” but propositioned a 17 year old male on Craigslist and said he didn’t need much done now (because the teen needed money) but would he be interested in “some sex stuff”

This just boils down to an issue with the lack of abstinence education in our schools. It's forcing republicans to go younger to find "pure" mates. So really it's planned parenting and democracts fault.
Maybe. Though it could be that pedophiles gravitate to Republican politics to compensate for or cover over their pedophilia. Or, there may be something more appealing about the power dynamics implications of conservatism given their own views on power dynamics where it comes to exploiting children. Of course, democrats will have a long list of pedophiles as well, but I can conceive of the distribution favoring one party. It could be that the democrats would have a longer list; that they are more apt, perhaps, to rationalize away pedophilia with a relativist moral code. Maybe it knows no party, but it could.
