Because luv 'em or hate 'em it is not easy for me to tell you how they find ways to Win. Almost impossible to describe it. They just do with role players, 11 Allstars throughout history (multiple appearances per allstar), Super HOF coach and the best management in the last 10-15 years. Years of Chemistry and Consistency. They just win without much flash or the biggest Names. And because they have DUNCAN. Execution! Execution! Execution! Play hard clap clap! Gentlemen, these are the SPURS. Example: Just 2 of tons of Role players in the Finals. Spoiler
Ah I just woke up and read it as mvp players. Zo, Shaq and Payton. So only one "true" franchise breh.
Good management, Pop and role players are of course a part of the formula, but let's not understate their championship rosters. They had maybe the best big (aka helping the team win) of all time in Duncan, one of the most reliable PGs in Parker and maybe the best 6th man of all time in Manu, who could've started for every other team. That's three prime HOFers with key roles, something other teams dream of.
And Kawhi is only 26. (Morris ahead of Kawhi should be a joke of the decade) One of the best wing defenders. Need the Portland version of LMA to be better. Or a better player. BTW: Found a good one, Jordan interviewing Gervin. 1988. @Yung-T No Bob Cousey?
Particularly hard to maintain 2 dominant decades without ever actively trading for a Big 3 or Big 4. It's all good management, luck, hard work and competence.
Duncan Robinson + Super Role Players that Pop brings the best out of. Duncan, Parker, Ginobli + Super Role Players that Pop brings the best out of. Seems like San Antonio has always had a Franchise Player or two laying around. Just like LeBron is basically an instant Finals Appearance in the East, Duncan + Pop is almost guaranteed to make WCF.
As far as Judging goes, we can incorporate what was stated earlier. i think it'll be hard to have an active panel, especially if they haven't drafted with us. and usually after the first round, the ones who are not still in the running hardly show up. We'll really need to work on this part.
Was good back then because of revolutionizing the position, but terribly unathletic, bad scorer and had a terrible one-handed set-shot. Every generic NBA PG would smoke him in today's game.
It came about so naturally........ very late first round pick Tony Parker and famous 2nd round pick Ginobili. Let's get on with the Rules to Judging.
