So the one who has a history of being a sexual predator towards children isn't necessarily the greater of 2 evils when compared to a guy who supports established law?

I've been tied up with a lot of other stuff recently so haven't been posting but this piece this morning really caught my attention.
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...s-who-could-pass-for-20/ar-BBFoH8B?li=BBnbfcL

Alabama pastor on Roy Moore allegations: 'There are some 14-year-olds' who 'could pass for 20'

""I don't know how much these women are getting paid, but I can only believe they’re getting a healthy sum," pastor Earl Wise told the Boston Globe. "How these gals came up with this, I don't know. They must have had some sweet dreams somewhere down the line."
"Plus," Wise added, "there are some 14-year-olds, who, the way they look, could pass for 20."

You just can't make this sh*t up. I wonder if Judge Roy's wife would go on record and say just how much interest he showed when she was 16.

All that matters is that those children were born, right? What the Roy Moores of the world do them afterward is unintended consequences.

I see what you're saying. I'm not an absolutist on abortion, but I fundamentally dislike the overlap between people who would call for its outright prohibition, regardless of circumstance, with those who are also against comprehensive sex education in schools, access to birth control and strengthening the social safety net for those who are most likely to seek an abortion, and the children they would have, in the first place. It's an uncomfortable subject, but I'm not delusional enough to believe that outlawing abortion in all circumstances would suddenly end it. Abortions have happened for centuries and will keep happening, so I'm all for policies that reduce the number in the first place: more knowledge of safe sex and access to birth control.

The cut-throated tribalism in justifying a vote for Roy Moore, because he is against abortion, lays bare true intentions. Also, are we sure Doug Jones would vote for legislation that made abortion more readily available in Alabama? Politicians care about self-preservation and a potential Democratic senator from Alabama would probably vote in a way that bettered his chances for reelection, which would mean taking a more conservative viewpoint on issues like abortion.

I don't know if money play a major role here. With wide coverage in the news, social media and today political environment, it's easier to push for and support radical candidates. I don't think much money is needed. Individuals tolerance level is the major factor. Things that were once unacceptable is now acceptable. It started probably sometime back and it accelerated with Trump. It accelerated with folks in power, like Senator Cornyn, who supposedly disagree with Moore on his radical and unconstitutional stance on homosexual conduct (must be illegal) and Muslim (cannot hold power), said clearly that he doesn't have to agree with him to support him over the Democratic nominee. I.e. anything is acceptable over the other side. Even though Cornyn has now said he no longer endorses Moore, this altitude and type of thinking has spread throughout the conservative base.

The side of the the same coin has always been different, and there is nothing wrong with that. Yin and Yang. But it seems that one side is more susceptible to divisiveness tactics and to believe in BS. That isn't new and wasn't so problematic until and unless that whole side becomes so intense that it allow the other side to not exist.

Not a surprise. Trump is a true degenerate scumbag- let's face it, we all know he raped his own wife (and yes, that is possible), he called his daughter a piece of ass, he bragged about grabbing women by the vagina (even locker room are like, "uh, no, that's not talk that goes on in here), etc.

Did you expect anything different? The President of the United States is a lying, raping, stupid *******. Let's call it what it is.

He'll proudly do so, Roy Moore would be a big ally of Pence. They are both EXTREMELY anti-LGBT.

Jones isn't very "liberal" for what it's worth, but we all know how much Two Scoops cares about basic reality.

I'm glad Two Scoops endorses this creep. They deserve each other, and history can link them, along with those who support them.

Apparently if you just deny it the President will support you.

Well you need to look at every side.

Side 1: raped me when I was underage
Side 2: assaulted me when I was underage
Side 3: assaulted me when I was underage
Side 4: tried to lock me in his car when I was underage
Side 5: assaulted me when I was underage
    ...
    ...
    ...

His side: I did not do it. Any of it. No. They are teh fake news and I am God's servant!

Roy Moore Dated ‘Younger Ladies’ For Their ‘Purity,’ His Pastor Friend Says

A prominent right-wing preacher who appeared alongside Senate candidate Roy Moore at a campaign rally just days ago said that Moore dated teen girls because of their “purity” and because when he got back from Vietnam there weren’t any women his age left to date.

Pastor Flip Benham told a local Alabama radio show on Monday that there was nothing wrong with Moore dating teenage girls.

“Judge Roy Moore graduated from West Point and then went on into the service, served in Vietnam and then came back and was in law school. All of the ladies, or many of the ladies that he possibly could have married were not available then, they were already married, maybe, somewhere. So he looked in a different direction and always with the [permission of the] parents of younger ladies. By the way, the lady he’s married to now, Ms. Kayla, was a younger woman,” Benham said on WAPI 99.5 FM Monday evening. “He did that because there is something about a purity of a young woman, there is something that is good, that’s true, that’s straight and he looked for that.”

Oh, okay, so Pastor *******, will you offer up your pure daughter for discriminating older men who recognize her purity.?
