Efficient?? This was 5 passes for 2 points. Very inefficient points-to-pass ratio. Morey can't be pleased.

Chris looked great, his legs aren’t there. Seeing his shots come short after 12-15 mins of Playing. Only going to get sharper and crisper from here on...

I think it’s important to note how strong Harden is. That knee hit he took would have taken most guys out of the game for at least a few mins.

Lol harden points all the time. He loves pointing and telling people to go somewhere.

This was just a mental lapse by ariza, nothing more and Paul correctly told him to create space.

And if your dead set on an example @YOLO watch any late game/quarter ISO where a screen comes out and the play hasn't set. He will wave the screen off and point other players to their "standing and waiting" positions.

idk man. honestly i dont see that enough really from Harden. In that position, i would of expected a 3 being put up by ariza. and thats what happens more times than not. but thats not something cp3 wanted to do. people are taking it as if its a knock on harden, its not.

He's slightly better than Bobby Brown.

After that beautiful piece of improvisational art work on the court the thing we argue/"debate" about is how GREAT the wave off was....

This is what's wrong with the world.

i too had a smile from ear to ear for a good 8-9seconds watching this live. we've basically got the 2 best guys on the planet at creating something out of absolutely nothing on the bball court.

It’s a freaking soccer play by Messi

    amirite @Yung-T @moestavern19 @AroundTheWorld @DaDakota

Capela isn’t even Off-Sides because Messi gets the ball way out front of himself prior to the pass

It was beautiful to watch. Also the video of harden and Paul trolling each other after the game was good too.

Great chemistry wins championships, the Astros proved that this year

I went to Harden's Charity Basketball Tournament before the season and saw Chris Paul and Capela in live game action for the first time and it was obvious at that time Capela was not ready for the deceptiveness of Chris Paul's passing.

I was hoping it wouldn't be a lasting issue and it looks like it won't after this gem:)

Harden is better at moving the defense with his own threat of scoring, Chris Paul is better at operating in a confined space with precision.

I think this will really help our offense by forcing defenders to be ready for both contrasting styles in the same game.

OP, while I appreciate the artistry of both players salvaging something from nothing, I do have to express my disappointment with your apparent departure from the new before, during, and post-game GARM protocol of only posting on the topic of Harden's failure to get the MVP and/or on media commentators' suggestions of who else might be a candidate for the MVP award. This post has absolutely NOTHING to do with any of that. To put it mildly, I am so disappoint.

It was a thing of beauty, Paul is a maestro of the highest order but not enough credit for Capela. He almost tried the tough angled shot even leaving his feet before dumping back to Paul, then the awareness to pass it back to Paul a 2nd time so CP3 could set up that amazing pass for easy lay up. That is more patience and IQ than Dwight and Asik combined.

Capela literally growing into legit top 5 center before our eyes.

Capela has developed a great feel in this offense. Honestly, if cp3 doing cp3 things involves Harden standing 30 feet from the basket then so be it. spacing. You have to guard him 30 feet out. 4 on 4 for cp3 is easy mode.

Lol at Ariza cement footing it.

No because you posted 4 times without clarifying this or alluding to it in any way in your original sentence.

So let me fix your original sentence then - my edits in red:

Oh please. Yeah, show me, consistently, evidence that shows that, with some degree of regularity, in broken or stalled play situations, where our ball handlers specifically tellingold someone to move so they can work a play they see will develop beforehand re-initiating another two (or more) man sequence, rather than sending the ball back ot the perimeter.

So, to answer your question -

It's probably a very difficult thing to track even with advanced metrics that are available today for a couple of reasons
    1. it's probably not really measured very well
    2. There's probably a natural tendency for nearly all teams/players to not run semi-complicated plays down in the shotclock in this manner, so detecting an acceptable baseline is essential to this. So nobody probably does this "consistently" - some may do it more often than others?

I do recall the broken play lob to Capela late game against Cleveland, I don't really know if that counts though.
