Chris Paul Confirmed To Play (and Start) Tomorrow vs. Suns

I'm thinking we want an easy trial game for him to better prepare for Saturday's away Memphis game. Not just for him, but for the team to play with him, as well. Better for him to go against Tyler Ulis than Conley in his first game back.

But with 3 days off after MEM, I suppose sitting him both games gives him a week longer until Denver. I'm sure @DonKnock would vote to sit him against Memphis.

We want to know who is sitting with whom.

I don't think so. I recall seeing people post last week that CP3 target return date was 11/16.

 

My impression from when he's been asked is that Paul is publicly trying to be patient but he is actually growing impatient with how cautiously the Rockets are playing it. Seems to think a lot about using exactly the right words and also reacted to being asked if he's going to be eased in by saying "I'm just gonna hoop".

That's the impression I got anyway. I think he's full speed and in great shape. All that's missing is being in game shape which is a bit different. There's a chance that he doesn't realize just how much more tiring it is to play for MDA than that moron Doc Rivers. Playing elite defense and orchestrating a rapid attack is more than most can handle. Either way, even if he has his worst season in 10 years, this is a MAAAAAAAAAAJOR addition to the defense and offense. It's crazy a team can sit a player of his calibre and still be competing for home court in the western conference.

I just want to see him score. I'm convinced we do not need his PG skills much at all and should only use them when Harden rests or when the defense/refs are locked on Harden. I want Paul to shock us with his scoring while bringing the same defense and leadership he always does. I'd rather see him put up 25/7 than 20/10, I think that's what would make this team devastating.

 

I fully expect a "Chris Paul Depreciation" thread tomorrow night if CP3 has a bad game.

Just venting here but I hate when the Rockets play out West. I'm on the East coast so the game won't actually start till abt 10:45 p.m. out here. Gotta get up for work at 4:30 tomorrow morning. Let's just say Friday will not be a productive work day for me.

not sure if serious. That's a free throw rebound. You can't decide which opponent is going to line-up with you. They even made a new Paul rule that you can't foul like that on a free throw in order to get Hack a Howard, just because he doesn't have the ball yet.
