Are you basing this strictly on last night? Because it seems you're basing this strictly on last night
A 3pt specialist, that would be super cheap and roughly no cost to acquire? Someone who knows his role and can play maybe 5-6 minutes a game if allowed? Would keep us away from the hard cap and the luxury tax? Guys I know the perfect player. Bobby "The Goat" Brown, come on down...
tilman is on record from his presser saying he only believes in paying the lux tax for a team that goes to the finals. i see no trade out there that would transform us into warrierr-beaters in a 7-games series. so no lux tax for us
How has he not gotten a look? Beasley has been a good role player coming from China, why not Jimmer? We need a back up guard...a shooter...dude at least deserves a workout. This is a low-risk/high-reward move if there ever was one.
That's not how I heard it. But I agree, fundamentally, we won't be making a luxury-tax inducing trade at the deadline, unless it's big. But like I said, we can still sign a Vet Min without crossing any lines, and that's the only exception we have regardless of how much the BBS wants to cry for a 3pt Specialist or 4th Guard. No matter how much is made about whether Tilman is being cheap or not, Morey doesn't have any money to spend regardless. Vet Min 3pt Specialists and 4th Guards can wait for the deadline or Buy-out season....and yet, if we don't do it now, it's blame Tilman time. Morey surely wants to save money for a possible big trade. Until then ...
Not sure if sarcasm, but if the Spurs can't make Jimmer into a productive role player I don't know who can.
Yes, serious. The Spurs are not the end all and be all. It is possible for a player to play badly in San Antonio but do well in other places. Beno Udrih for example had a whole career beyond his Spurs stint
Clippers need to add more. Perhaps a young, athletic stretch 4 like Sam Dekker if we could pry him from them.
You oughta take a look at this, my good sir. http://www.houstontoyotacenter.com/jobs/detail/basketball-operations-analyst
