If Menendez broke the law he should pay a price. It looks bad from the outside but it seems as though the Supreme Court ruling a few years ago on bribery is making this iffy from a legal standpoint. However.... that’s a seperate issue entirely from Roy Moore and one argument brought up to try to conjure up “bothsidesisms” shouldn’t derail a clear fact that there is a special place in hell for sexual predators who prey on children. There is also nothing worse than a false prophet. So a combination of a false prophet and a predator makes this dirt bag the lowest of the low to be either defending or making a “bothsidesism” case like there’sthedagger seems to be making. If you have any decency just denounce and walk away. A bothsidesism argument is the same thing as an excuse for the behavior or at the very least a statement that poltical gain and “winning” is more important that basic human morals.
