Happy that he got his ring before calling it a career.

I'd love the Astros to pay him whatever is necessary to keep him on as a coach or consultant.

He was only with the team for a year and a half total, but boy was he involved in some extremely strong emotional moments.

He was a member of the teams first series win, and first world series. Yet he spent the vast majority of his time in the league being a hated figure around here.

Back in the spring of 05 it was almost unimaginable that he could come back, play like crap, yet still end up with good feelings all around. Being part of champion does that.

Man, reading those two articles were amazing. It's like he knew something was going to happen this year and thats why he chose here. It was also great to read what impact Biggio had on his career.

and LOL at holding the funeral for Carlos' glove hahahahaha

Carlos, be our bench coach PLEEEEEEEASE

What a way to go out !!

World Champion for the city that booed him for years.

He can bench coach whenever he wants.

His '04 playoff run was flat out AMAZING!!!!

His leadership to this yrs team helped them win a WS.

Would love to have him as a coach (or in the front office in some capacity).

    THANKS CARLOS!!!!!

Carlos did so much for the team this year that cannot be forgotten. He helped establish a tremendous culture within the clubhouse that goes well past how much he was overpaid for what he did or didn't do on the field.

Love that man forever, without him I do not think the Astros win the World Series.

Just lost our bullpen coach to Cora. Reshuffle someone out there and bring Beltran into that open slot somehow.'

edit: I take it back. based on JR's post, looks like all the slots were filled today. No matter, assistant to the assistant regional manager it is!

Fitting way to go out. I'd love him back as a coach. I'm also glad that money used on him as a DH will be allocated elsewhere.

Thank you Beltran. You redeemed yourself and now you're a champion. Now come back and coach for a while.
