Man just think if we kept Covington he would have made Anderson obsolete.

This is why its important to have a coach who plays all the players so the FO know what they have.

I dun think anyone could imagine him jumping from his 2.3 pts to 12 and now to 16 ppg. I dun think they would have given him too much PT.

Philly banked on him and it paid off.

    yes.
    15 this year and then it could be 12 - 12 -12 or 13- 14 - 15 or which I don't believe it, but let's see if Colangelo can fool his agent : 15- 10 -10 -10

I was probably the only one against waiving him on this forum. At that point we had Delfino (???) stealing his minutes, or Garcia..can't recall.

That's not true. Maybe any NBA player can put up raw stats if given the green light but this kid is a great defensive player also.

He's the prototype for 3&D wing players and he's made himself into a pretty darn good offensive player at that.

He's like a young Trevor Ariza with a little better ball handling and finishing ability.

He's a much better player than jae Crowder who ppl seem to overrate a lot.

If philly can keep him in the fold at 10-12m a year it's a steal for them. They have so much star/franchise talent in embiid and Simmons possibly Fultz. They are lucky to have Robert be that elite role player defensive stopper on the wing.

Really wish the rockets would have kept this guy around. He would have been our Ariza replacement.

Sometimes you just have to let a player go if you have a coach that can't or won't use him right, even if he is a good player.

    In basketball, fit is everything.

Thats the thing. Eactly nobody (including op) thought he'd be a good defender. If they did, he would have been properly valued.

Clutchfans has a major problem with recreating history to suit their agendas.

I think he will be more consistent Parsons, and maybe only maybe lucky in the Injury department.

I thought he would be a good defender and a great fit on the Rockets offensively.

I don't think it's a coincidence that that Hinkie is the one that brought him to Philly. He was just caught in a numbers game in Houston. Morey and Hinkie knew he had the potential. It was just a matter of hard work and opportunity for him.

I agree, and I honestly think it was the beginning of many Hinkie/Morey favor trades.

I'll be looking forward to Sam Hinkie's next rebuilding job so we get a new trade partner. :D
