spurs had a 60 wins with Kawhi sitting 10 games, 2nd seed, 4 more wins than the rockets, were 3-1 head to head match, poppavich, top1 defense.. act like the rocekts outside of harden was a conference finalist LOL you really think Giannis or Lebron or Durant or Curry could have carried the rockets farther than the 2nd round last year? go ahead and make thread and poll about trading harden for giannis. you'll get embarassed
Giannis has done more at a younger age as the #1 guy then Harden. But congrats on making **** up ... please quote me where I said Giannis was my savior. I think you’re one of these middle school types tha like to throw out words... savior, hater... pointless.
go ahead and make a poll trade harden for giannis.. if you get majority Morey may just grant your wish LOL
I love Giannis been calling him a top 10 player since lasts season some thought I was crazy. And don't get me wrong he's great and could be the best player in the game in 3-4 years but I would not trade him for harden right now If the objective is to win "now" which it clearly is. Giannis still has a lot to learn about winning in this league he's only 22. His talent is enormous but I think your severely underrating Harden impact on the court, its second to only Lebron. You act like anyone that's a top player can come in here and produce a top 10 offense of alltime with it's second best player being Eric Gordon 3rd best being Ryno and 4th best Capela? No freaking way. And defense is important but special offensive players is even more important. And I'd hate to put a cap on Giannis potential but I will. I don't ever see him being as good as harden is on offense right now. He'll never shoot the 3 ball like James and while good he'll never be the playmaker James is. And I wouldn't really call Hardens defense straight crap he's been good enough this season to We're I don't think it's fair to really crush the guy like this is 3-4 seasons ago. He's not that player anymore on defense. He's the best player on a top 10 defense so Imo he's doing his part.
you said you want championships? check you said you'll trade harden for giannis? check giannis=your savior LOL all these words and posts in this thread for Giannis LOL you prolly just based it in his current PPG
Spurs were down Tony Parker and Kawhi. LMA was returned from a mysterious heart thing and playing uninspired and like crap. That team was not very talented at the end of the day. Are you trying to say you expected Harden to crap the bed Game 5 after Kawhi went out and Game 6?
Yes... I’m clearly just going off ppg. After posts and post of PER, gamescores, talking about defense, etc. As I thought you’re just making stuff up. Please again quote me where I call giannis my savior? Give it a go, lol.
harden and the rockets went past their potential.. act like everyone else played well answer this, who could have carried the rockets farther last year? give me a name or a couple of names if you can and stop dodging..
Giannis led his team to 42 wins which is barely above .500 and a 1st round exit in the East. Before acquiring Bledsoe his team was 5-7 and again headed to a barely 40 win season and another 1st round exit. That 41 win season was a fluke and u know it, stop. It’s been 50+ wins every other year other than his 1st season here where a 23 yo Harden led a team projected to be pretty bad before he arrived to 45 wins and a playoff berth. Has there been a perimeter player that led his team to a chip while not making or barely taking any jump shots like Giannis? We are chasing GS and trying to win chips now, so Harden for Giannis would be a clear step back which is why the Rockets wouldn’t do it. Let’s also keep in mind that CP3 chose to play with Harden, and not the great Giannis. This has put us in the position to possibly acquire another star level player. If we had Giannis last year, we would’ve been a mediocre team that might’ve sneaked into the playoffs and got beat in the 1st round. Having Harden brings us closer to a chip, and winning a chip is the goal right now.
That's fair. Harden is much better positioned to "win now". I don't think that gets you anything at the end of the day more than a pat on the back because of the phenomenon that is the GSW and the Rockets current cap and asset position, but that's true. . I love Harden. I think he is uniquely talented and exceeds at maximizing the talent around him... at least when its this type of talent. I'm not sold yet on how he'll do when surrounded with other GREAT talent. He's struggled historically when the balls not in his hands, and I saw nothing in preseason or game 1, or heck offseason LA based video type stuff, to indicate Harden's about to become less stagnant in that regards. Hence all the posts on here about managing when he and CP3 are and aren't on the court together. But that's neither here nor there. He's great at taking this squad in this system far. Of course the team went 41-41 two years ago. But two years, or last year, or whatever, my main points remain. HE UNDERPERFORMS in the PLAYOFFS in some way, every year, better teammates and system, worse, whatever. I don't care about winning one of the best offensive squad awards... unless it means championships. We're still talking about a squad with 1 conference Finals win in 20 years. It doesn't mean Harden is "the problem", it's just a comment on what I value. too early to tell. he's putting up 30 ppg this year. His assist % last year was better than any of Harden's first 4 years.
Giannis is a guy who puts up gaudy stats while leading teams to mediocre records until proven otherwise. Lead your team to 50+ wins and make the 2nd round at least before I put your impact on the game at Harden’s level even with Harden’s lack of defense.
Giannis isn’t as accomplished or impactful as Harden currently. I didn’t say he was did I? Did say I’d straight up trade Harden for him.
when I mean savior I meant guy who bring's you what you want.. so you want a championship right? and you're willing to trade harden for this guy..
yeah, you and pretty much nobody else because we’re trying to win now and get a ring now you’ve confirmed that Giannis currently isn’t on Harden’s level, which is why I said that the Rockets would not do that trade because it’s a clear step back...
