You say take away their drives. That’s where I say they force a switch (in the past) with a moving screen. Because
Curry is a dead-eye shooter from up to 38 feet (and beyond), it forces Capela to straighten up on Curry’s step backs.
When Curry sees Capela (or any Center) over play the outside shot; he then goes around said Center. That’s when
your defense has to leave their assignments to protect the rim......thus opening up the 3-point shooter.

This year the refs are supposedly going to call the moving screen. This may bring the Warriors somewhat back
to earth if the refs do indeed call the moving screens. Draymond still causes mismatches with pretty much
every team. He may not score over 20 points in a game; but he effects the game in so many different ways.
    1) Great passing assist PF/C
    2) Decent 3-pt shooter for a PF/C
    3) Great at driving to the rim for a PF/C
    4) Excellent defender on the perimeter for a PF/C
    5) Great defender at the rim for a PF/C

If the Rockets can defend against Draymond who is a third or fourth option behind Curry,KD & maybe Klay.
Then the Rockets have a chance. Can Ariza,Luc MaM,Tucker do enough? I’m confident CP3/Harden
can counter the game production of Curry/KD. I would feel more comfortable with a Tobias Harris, Ibaka,
Aaron Gordon. Maybe even that old rusty relic Dirk Nowitzki from swyyy’s Mavs. He wishes.

    Developing a 15' set-shot would add a nice element..

He was chasing down ORebs well last night. He's quick and long.

This is the primary reason why I advocated for Nerlens Noel, he can switch off and defend guards. Rockets may have to play 3 wings (Harden, Luc, Ariza), CP3 and Tucker more against teams like GSW. Then play bigger/longer against teams like SA and Memphis. Capela has not peaked so he may still be evolving and adding to his game THIS season.

Agreed. We can't be great everywhere though, we just need to be healthy. Luc Moute can helps the forward tandem. And hopefully Anderson can hit shoots efficiently.

There are ways to handle screens. Capela has to flash to give the Curry's defender (presumably Paul) to recover. Paul is a great defender and I think he can go over the screen instead of switching. Capela flashes and then cuts back to Green, that closes the drive. You still give curry a potential shot with Paul chasing him but I mean, you have to give him something and honestly Curry is more dangerous when he can penetrate and break down a defense. It's the wide open 3's that kill you, and the ones he makes while he is moving to the side can't be at that high of a clip.

No, I like Nerlens; his salary would work as a deep bench guy (Nene usually doesn’t play vs Warriors) at the moment.

I’m guessing the Rockets have one move in them by trading deadline. Probably with a cellar dweller. That probably
means no Aaron Gordon, Tobias Harris, Middleton, Millsap, etc.

Looking at Bulls, Knicks, Hornets, Nets (DeMarre Carroll), Hawks, Kings, Mavs, Lakers, Suns, Paul George (if Thunder are at .500 near trading deadline w/chemistry issues). Jazz Engles.

I’m sure the Rockets will try just about everything.

One has to see Curry handling the ball on you tube. He has made CP3 look like a clown at times. And CP3
has long been considered the best defensive Point Guard. One can’t expect a 6’10 big to do enough to stop Curry
consistently thru the duration of a game. Most PG’s cant.

No one is going to stop Curry consistently. You can't only bother him and hope he misses. He will miss shots. You just try to make him miss more frequently

Clint is already having these monster games like the 16 and 20 against Embiid, the 22 and 17 against the Kings, and the 19, 13, and 4 blocks against Cleveland

his free throw percentage is up over 70%...he’s giving u 11 boards and 2 blocks a game in just 25 mpg

Imagine how good this dude might be 2 years from now?

Could he be like an 18 point, 12-13 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in 30-32 minutes type of C when he’s 25?

he'll easily get that as long as he doesn't get hurt. just needs to grow and get thicker. get a fifteen footer. box out better and hold his ground. 18 points is guaranteed.

capela is a confidence player. the more confidence, the more he will grow.

the most exciting development in his game,to me, has been the drastic improvement in his passing and decision making.

the best plays of that game was capella making kevin love his little **tch. i love the play where he guarded love on the 3 point line, forced him to drive, backtracked and guarded him, and then stuffed his drive....how many centers can guard the perimeter like that?

I've been a fan (let's say) of Capela for a long time at this point, but i have to say he seems more improved as a player than i thought he would be at this point. And i still believe he has good upside left to develop his offense, to me he has the talent and the fact that he's a hard worker makes me believe he will make it at some point.

Now, we're still early in the season and i don't want to talk about all star level etc, i don't like these kind of arguments, but i'm starting to think we should really bet hard on this guy going forward and not look back.

Just wondering, if Clint signs a max contract next summer, how much money he would get in his first season?

Guy's impressive. Has all star potential, don't think it'd be too smart for him to bolt to a shitty team for a pay check though.

There's only one player in the league who can create better looks for him than Harden & he's sitting on the Rockets bench.
