they started having this new segment, i think it's called Monday Matchup, with bull and clyde. omg it's like the most toilsome 2min of tv watching these guys explain painfully obvious analysis that even the dumbest GSW rookie bandwagon fans would already know. and they do it with such lack of flair or continuity of flow you almost wish they'd just show 2min of clyde's fingernails scraping a chalkboard instead

Not gonna lie. The whole Rox broadcast team is at an all time low.

This is especially noticeable after the Astros season with Blum and Kalas being a real joy to listen to. SO GLAD they replaced Ashby who was so negative it made some games nearly unwatchable.

Bullard has some good insights but an annoying voice and the humor of a 10 year old, which is fine if he didn't feel the need to use the broadcast as a platform for his personal comedy routine.

Ackerman seems really fake to me and I don't believe the passion which feels forced.

Clyde I enjoy in his limited role, but he doesn't have the chops to be a full time announcer.

Bill is definitely 'that old guy at work no one wants to fire.' The dude has all of our respect from tenure alone. He is clearly passionate about the team as well.

The problem with Bill is he has developed that 'I don't give a sh** what other people think of me' attitude. He has cemented himself in his job and he knows it. Personally what really bothers me is how bipolar he can be. When we go on a little run he acts like we are the next coming of Jesus, but then as soon as we miss a few shots in a row he becomes depressingly negative and pessimistic. I don't mind having slightly homeristic announcers but he takes it way over the line.

Time to clean house IMO. Hire Blum and Todd:p.

I agree on Craig. Can you kind of elaborate on Ashby? I'm trying to remember what my feelings were about him

Bill's probably past his prime, but I do enjoy him calling obvious plays wrong:
Bill: "And the ball is out of bounds back to the Rockets"
Bull: "Actually I think they're calling a charge, the ball never left Harden's hands."

The only reason I hate worrells, that he keep on trying to jinx our players every time they are at the free throw line.

Oh and clyde constantly saying, oh ooo here goes bill again the best at it ....

You're a total douchebag if you believe that. Worrell is night and day better and in a totally different league than that radio hack. Houston....appreciate for once what you are blessed to have, which is a hall of fame broadcaster.

He did it just so you'd complain and make this thread. He is 10 steps ahead of you.

He would always be like, "I don't want to sound negative here, but (insert negative comment)." And he would always criticize players mechanics and decision making as if he was so much smarter and wiser than everyone else.

Basically smug and egotistical and a tryhard.

I am so thankful that Bill Worrell returned this year. Road telecasts are so boring with Ackerman and Bull. Feel sorry for Rockets fans once Worrell hangs it up.

Did anybody catch Bills saggy balls joke last game?

He said something along the lines of "at my age, it's harder to dribble between my legs" there was a slight pause and they started cracking up really hard because they got what he was implying.

    Legend.

Bill Worrell just loves Houston. I feel the same on everything you said. Kalas has one of the best voice in baseball, it is unbelievable he does Astros games. With Bill, I feel connected to the Rockets.

If only. Bill could take Bull and Clyde's jobs at home. The road? I would take whoever was offered just to get that pair at home, even for just a season. Epic wouldn't be an exaggeration.
