Look at Ed Young too. I know these guys like the back of my hand and they're all bullsh!t artists and chislers.
I'm not going to speak for Osteen or Young or anyone else for that matter, but I have a client.....let's call her Mrs. B. Mrs. B's husband is the pastor of a very prominent Baptist church inside the loop. Now, Mrs. B is a house wife, so their only income stream is what he makes from the church. Just recently, she came into my office and dropped 3 floorplans off for me to do engineering on. All 3 homes are going to be over 5000 Sq. Ft., and she is building them in a VERY exclusive neighborhood in Houston. When I asked how she came across 3 lots in that part of the city, she said, "Oh, we just had some extra cash lying around, so we made cash offers on these properties on a whim." By my estimation, that's well over $2,000,000 IN CASH, being spent on a whim......riiiiiiiight.
Is Mrs. B looking for an architect perchance? I once did an over ostentatious home addition for a car salesman. I'm willing to design some over ostentatious luxury homes for a televangelist.
Everytime that Josh Innes thread is bumped I check hoping he's fired. Whenever this one gets bumped I check-in hoping this guy is fired, or dead or something (sorry, not sorry). Govt needs to socialize religion.
Yeah I do. Ol' Ed has been in my parents' house and we've been in his, several many times. I grew up with his younger kids, used to go surfing with Ed Jr. (he surfs goofyfoot, btw). Same with old man Osteen. I've watched the 700 Club with my grandmother more than I would like to admit.
Not sure if I chimed in on this thread in the past or not... I have a very good friend that works at “the Summit” for Osteen’s church, and has for years. She says without question they are 100% fake and about the money. So often she says they push selling whatever it is they have to sell and rarely if ever talk about “the word” She always tells me that she knows she will leave soon, “but it’s hard because she feels there are good people doing good work there” She also doesn’t want to leave her life groups. All that said, again, they are totally phony according to her. To me it’s pretty obvious they are, but hey, that’s just like my opinion man.
