Like everyone said, for a trade? No way. Even if he gets bought out- why would he want to come here? It seems like he is upset more from the lack of playing time than the fact they aren't competing. Even more- even if he gets bought out, why would we want him? He would be fairly redundant with Ariza, Tucker and Luc and would be the worst out of all of them. I guess we do have an open roster spot so we could think why not just for depth? But I wouldn't be surprised if there was a better option at some point this season
As others have already stated, via trade? Not a chance. Via buyout? I'll listen, but truth be told: we don't have much to offer him in terms of minutes and he's never been that good of a 3-pt shooter. I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.
Do not need with Moute, Tucker, Ariza, Harden, Gordon. There is nothing he can do here that we do not already have in spades.
This guy already looked physically done in Cleveland and Miami for some reason. I guess his time in Chicago drove him into the ground. His bball IQ kept him in the league, but in no way did he deserve that monster contract. Hard pass, I'd rather just play Troy Williams as third string.
Exhibit A as to why sports fans are the worst. The guy isn't whining that he is underpaid, wants more money, etc. He's whining that he wants to play. It's not as if he's on a championship contender AND is whining he wants more playing time. He's on a rebuilding team and he isn't playing. He would rather get playing time and receive half that salary than get it all and not play. He's the rare player that the money truly doesn't mean everything to him. (It means something to his agents for sure, but not to him). He grew up in a wartorn country and for a while in his life he had nothing. Now the money helps him serve a greater purpose and help others (as well as afford a better life for him and his family).
I get that you're in Chicago and maybe read some Bulls forum or something but I can legit say that's BS about him being toxic, leaking stuff to the press or two faced with coaches, teammates. The guy doesn't fake ****. He won't say something to the press that he wont say to his coaches and teammates. He also has no problem letting the press know when he has a problem but he doesn't tell them anything he doesn't tell his coaches. He's a solid teammate. Not sure what former Bulls you've talked to but in his time there he was a solid dude. Now as pertains to the Rockets that would be a terrible move. No room for him to play on this team so definitely not.
