I really hope he returns to full health. Watson's mobility creates so many opportunities for him. Without the mobility, or with diminished mobility, defenses will have a much easier time defending him. When we drafted Watson, I thought his best years would be early in his career, when his mobility was the highest. I hope I'm wrong. Hopefully he turns into Warren Moon and not RG3.

One positive outlook to have is that the last game he played was considered the best ever against the legion of boom.

Keeps the confidence sky high in the off-season.

What helps him is that it was in his opposite knee. There is an expectation he returns to full health. Opposite AcL tears happen 20% of the time after the first one. 3% on same ACL after injury.

He probably needs to wear knee braces from now on out. I can imagine players feel more free without the brace but if it can possibly prevent this from happening, he needs to sacrifice some of the freedom to be able to stay healthy.

    Dabo Swinney:

I talked to Deshaun late this afternoon and we are disappointed. But, he is a person who has had some setbacks in his life, and always comes back stronger. Since he went through the rehab before, he knows what it takes.

“At least this happened in the middle of the season and he has had the opportunity to show what he can do. I see today he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October. It would have been so much worse if it happened in training camp.

“This is so similar to the 2014 season, his freshman year at Clemson. In his first career start against North Carolina, he threw a school record six touchdown passes, then he had four more (two rushing and two passing) the next week against NC State. Then he suffered an injury during the Georgia Tech game.

“Now he leads the NFL in touchdown passes and this happens.

“All he did after the injury in 2014 was come back and lead us to the National Championship game twice and of course we won it last year. He started all 30 games the last two years here.

“I have not doubt he will come back from this. He has the resolve. His work ethic and drive are incredible.

There's nothing remotely suspicious about the Duane Brown trade. The Seahawks had been rumored to be interested in him weeks prior to the deal, and it happened right before the trade deadline. You're reading way too much into this, man. Let it go and take off the tin foil hat.

I am VERY disappointing that this thread has devolved into petty bickering.

I came here this morning for fantastical interpretations of Zionist conspiracies juxtaposed with debates about phrenological interpretations. And I get this.

    Clean up your act, Clutchfans.

Actually, the players brought politics into football. That's why I quit watching. I agree with you on the safety thing, but everyone who plays contact sports knows how dangerous they are. People don't get their head knocked around for peanuts. If that was the case nobody would be boxers, cage fighters, or NFL players. They take the risk hoping to get rich and know that even if they do get hurt, they can set themselves up for life. They aren't doing it to serve their country, protect or defend anyone else, liked the armed service members who they don't care if they disrespect. Those are the guys who work in a dangerous job for a different reason. They will never get rich, and have everything to lose. Anyway, everyone has their own opinion, and I will stop giving mine. I am sure those that don't agree don't want to hear it any more on this site.

The players didn't bring politics to the game. The league did when they took money from the military to allow them to conduct their ceremonies before games.

So he's had the same injury on the other leg and showed no drop off athletically. He will be fine.

Let's hope that it's not recurring.

Build an ol so he doesn't have to run around so much

His passer rating is very high without pressure

Wow, guess that shows my ignorance. Why on earth would the military have to pay money to display colors or perform the National Anthem before a game? Wow! That is disgusting. I would have thought it was the other way around, and they paid them for performing. I guess that says it all.

Nope, I don't blame them for everything. I just lost my allegiance.

The players used to stay in the locker room before the National Anthem.
