Yes, we know, but when the joke works better based upon reality, comedians go with the literal sense. To me, it wasn't funny, because the joke begged to be about being harder to kneel...but you were too "weak-minded" to make the joke work with the way it literally works. Here: "I'm sure Trump is pleased, because this injury will make it harder for Watson to kneel in protest." see...that's better than your joke. Your joke is lame. sorry You went waaay out of your way to say "At least his injury will make it easier to kneel in protest for him." which is both factually wrong, but fits how you feel about the subject of NFL players kneeling, and (worse) your odd insistence the joke was about a black QB kneeling into submission (hence that video of the western). So, mine's funnier, because it is real and makes fun of Trump, not the protesting or Watson kneeling into submission. sheesh. I don't wish pain on anyone either, but this news didn't make me mad either. I feel bad for him as a human being, and wish him well. But, I gave up on the NFL after the protesting started. I was too disgusted with the players, and still am.
No need to get political, there’s a D&D forum for that, but the NFL has a *laundry* list of problems that have been exposed and are killing it. To me player safety and concussions are a much bigger deal. I really think the moment my view of the NFL turned was when Keenum’s head slammed into the ground with the Rams and he was clearly concussed and they just trotted him back out there. I felt guilty just by watching it and supporting something that would think that’s ok.
If you didn’t know Deshaun was a star. Look how many players have reached out on twitter etc. The players recognized how much a stud he really is. For the RG3 crowd, and I have already seen a few. Rg3’s knee injury was an ACL,MCL,LCL tear which is much much worse. You can expect Deshaun to return to normal levels.
