Couldn’t post last night, too damn excited and nervous to think straight.

I’ve been waiting 46 years to see this.

Only wish my old man who died last year could’ve been here. I know there’s a lot of fans here and in the city who share that same situation with friends and family not able to share this with us.

This one was for them and every one who has suffered through the years.

One more thing.....WE ARE NOT CURSED!!!!!!!

Not enough can be said about Jim Crane here. The man is a businessman that dedicated this franchise to winning the big one. Not many businessmen would take losing for three years straight in stride like he did. To agree to changing leagues when we were an established National League team. To decide to gamble on a Justin Verlander at the very very last minute. He made a lot of great decisions that took a lot of vision. Hats off to you, Mr. Jim Crane.

That makes me wish our boys popped budweisers and bucked the champagne tradition. They repped us hard right there.

Possibly one of the most-overlooked but still best parts of this: from this point forward, we will be forced to watch far less of Matthew McConaughey and his thoughtful, pensive and quiet reflection on how fancy and rich he is, as he gets dressed and then goes outside to drive away in his Lincoln SUV, while rich jazz music plays the soundtrack of his mind. I really don't need to see that ever again.

I'll appreciate him more if he ends up opening the pocket book.

We just beat the 3 highest payrolls in baseball. It's no coincidence we met the three highest spending teams in the playoffs. Spending money puts you in a great position to succeed. It was an incredible feat on our middling budget but now I want us to get closer to those payrolls to increase our odds moving forward.

That is going to happen on its own if we intend to keep our core together.
