Lol, i remember that. Not directly but somewhat indirectly, all of that led me to becoming less of a baseball fan. Crappy team, hard to watch, move to the AL, baseball being surpassed by other sports. Didn't start watching again until 3 years ago... which makes me the definition of a bandwagon fan I guess... but I also put in my dues. Many happy and sad memories in the Astrodome, and MMP. Also.. this may just be the euphoria of having a good team... but this brand of baseball is exciting. And by this brand, I mean contact, high bball IQ. I know it comes down to talent, of course, but you'd think every team would start batting practice in spring training with the same approach... CONTACT.
The approach where you hit for a high average, hit a ton of HR's, and rarely strike out? Doing one of those 3 is crazy difficult, a team doing all 3 is historic.
