He pitched through some major adversities tonight. That umpire was doing him absolutely no favors. A lesser man would've gotten frustrated and crumbled. He'll be a Houston folk hero for life.

    Ha.... interesting take back then.

I half expected that I said something asinine and snarky... glad Morton became the elite bullpen guy we all suspected he could be.

Morton was absolutely filthy and you could see he wasn’t phased by the moment. Ice water in those veins.

    Great damn signing !!

He's capable 3-6 innings of Ace-level production, and he's our FORTH best starter. He's still prolly fragile, but next year is still very promising.

Congrats to Charlie Morton! He pitched a helluva game and won despite not getting some critical strike calls he earned. His velocity was phenomenal tonight and once he settled down a bit he had fantastic movement and control. Clearly this bargain basement signing was another stroke of genius and one that paid off when we needed him most.

Absolute steal of a signing! Guy pumps 98 effortlessly. I don't think anyone could've predicted he'd be this good for us. He was huge this postseason!

Really appreciate what Morton has done for us, especially in the post season. I had been secretly praying for Hinch to use Morton out of the pen, for i thought he has better stuff than McCullers. Morton won us a deciding game 7 against the Yanks, and has been nails against the Dodgers when no other pitchers has consistently shut down their lineup. What a great signing.

    Man.

Morton is probably going through an emotional rollercoaster. He was at such a loss for words after the Yankees and Dodgers game 7’s.

He seems so thankful he got to show his stuff to the world with this team that he loves being apart of.

Seems like an extremely humble guy.

And a hell of a pitcher too. ;)

It's funny it seemed to me all year that Morton's results never matched his stuff, just a bad luck pitcher. That sure changed after that first Yankees start.

He got his shot at the biggest stage and he went at it quietly like a warrior. The guy was something to behold last night and I'm excited to see what part he'll play with this team next season.
