(it can't end there since the Astros are the away team...but I still got chills thinking about it)

I don't want to experience another annual Houston sports letdown. Buffalo Bills, Mets, Stockton Dagger, 2005 White Sox, Game 6 Spurs Blowout, Jacoby Jones muffed catch, Game 7 against LA in 2009, 9-7 seasons, etc etc etc.

Please let us get what we have wanted FOREVER, a World Series freaking CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I am mentally and physically prepared for a loss. I think they have all the talent and confidence that they can win the game, but that isn't always enough. If the Astros win, I will be crying tears of joy all night and won't be able to sleep

Same 100%. If any die hard Houston sports fan wants to live life normally for the next few weeks, you have to mentally be prepared for the Astros losing the World Series.

If we do lose for the love of God please don't let it be a walk-off homer.

And it really would be a disappointment not to win. SI's prediction, Harvey, never winning a WS, yet to win a sports championship this century (excl. Dynamo), Game 4 Giles' 9th inning, and Game 6's countless RLOB. So yes, I'm mentally preparing myself as much as I can.

At least most of you guys are in Houston. I'm in LA so if the Astros lose there's no way I can escape these Dodgers fans.

I feel the same being in San Diego. However, at least I have a bunch of people that despise the Dodger in addition to the majority of Dodger fans as well.

All hands on deck for this one. Anyone hear Buster Olney talking about how Darvish has been known to get overhyped in big games and make himself ill? Apparently in his last game as a Ranger Darvish knew a ton of scouts were there and was so nervous that he was getting sick in the clubhouse. If he thinks that is pressure just wait until 2 men are on and either Springer, Bregman, Altuve, Correa, or Gurriel are up. I think Darvish is a class act but he is a bit of a headcase so hopefully we can capitalize early.

On the flip side of that, hopefully McCullers can keep his nerves in check because we know he will be amped up. If he can give us 5 or 6 innings with 3 runs or less, I like our chances with Peacock, Keuchel, Morton, McHugh, Devenski available out of the pen. McCann needs to call the game of his life and keep McCullers under control somehow.

    nope.

MMP is a smaller ball park, Dodgers Stadium is bigger.

as for this WS, after 3 games each at each site,

the box scores say MMP is much more hitter friendly, and pitcher hostile.

Man my sphincter is tight. We need to jump on and assault Darvish EARLY. I see Roberts doing Darvish 4, Alex Wood 2, Kershaw 2 and closing with Jansen. He isn’t going to f around with anyone of the bullpen regulars. So get 3 off of YU in the first or second or it will be a long damn night. If Verlander could not protect a 1-0 lead Lance McMortchelcock sure as hell cant.

Our guys will have to find a way to play loose tonight .

It's easy to say it , but when the first thing goes wrong it's hard to keep it up .

I hope this group can find the resolve to keep that mindset ; because we will need to hit tonight .

I like Lance and think he could pitch a great game , but you still need to give him some support .

If Reddick had hit a deep fly ball last night, McCann scores. We don't need home runs or even base hits to take advantage of some of these scoring opportunities.

I'm guessing this depends on which park factors you are looking at. For park factors just looking at results (hits, hrs, runs), MMP has been a neutral or pitcher's park lately. However, for whatever reason, batters just aren't hitting the ball well in MMP nearly as often as they do during Astros road games. When a ball is hit in MMP, it does more damage than other parks on average last three seasons (mostly as homers have become easier to hit with juiced ball and lauch angle has gone up slightly for balls in the air). Not sure the batter's eye and the small territory account are that significant of a factor to the quality of batted balls.

on the other hand, in Dodger Stadium, more hard-hit balls are caught in the warning track.

case in point, in game 6, the long fly ball hit by Seager in the 7th, caught by Reddick in front of the RF Wall, would have been a HR in MMP
