Don't be stupid. I have followed this team for my entire life. And just because he was "quite good" this year. Doesn't mean he is good in the playoffs. He has never been good in the playoffs. I can't even count how many times in the reg season this year he would come in with a 2 or more run cushion and make it interesting.

Does not need its own thread. Covered elsewhere.

Get ready for the haters. I've already had someone post on my FB page that there should be an asterisk on this championship because of the slick balls.

Yeah, it's unfair that only the Dodgers had to pitch with them.

Funny. I thought the slick ball was causing his slider to look like a cross between a cutter and a slider.

September - 9 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in all 9
August - 4 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in all 4
July - 3 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in 2 of them
June - 8 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in 6 of them
May - 6 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in 4 of them.
April - 9 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up 0 runs in 7 of them.

So, if my calculations and observations are correct, I can count them. 39 games with a 2+ run lead. Gave up runs in 7 of them. Meanwhile he came into 10 games with a 1 run lead and gave up 0 runs in 9 of them.

While he was miserable for most of the postseason (especially in second innings), he was among the top closers in the AL during the regular season. That being said, this could turn into a 'Brad Lidge' situation.
