So, I've missed a few hundred pages and I'm sure this sentiment has been already oft-expressed, but:

AJ. Dude. Your bullpen is tired, toasted from 162 games of your early hooks. They're garbage now. So: If Verlander wants to throw 150 pitches, LET HIM. If you pull him with less than 120 pitches or before the end of the 8th inning, you shall be forever known as Hook Hinch. And, we shall be pissed. Really, really pissed.

    That is all.

I'm sitting here and realizing, I'm emotionally gone right now from being at games 4/5 (mostly from 5). I'm physically tired from the late nights, and from travel to/from Houston. Can't imagine the players having done this for the entirety of the playoffs, where emotions and pressure are constantly high. And they're actually expending physical energy on top of it. I guess they nap during the day or sleep in or whatever, but otherwise...just a greater appreciation for all of it, which I didn't think I could add to.

It's JV's call, as it always has been as long as he is effective. The only thing that could mess that up is NL rules. McCullers will be the go or guy if they have a lead late. Otherwise they save Lance for Game 7.

Dude I'm exhausted. I really want this over tonight. I can't deal with another Game 7.

How about Altuve launching that deep foul ball in the moment, glaring at the baseball, going into clutch mode again a moment later, dialing in on the pressure of the moment, tweaking his next swing by inches to correct the blueprint of attack, and then absolutely launch one over the fence and mark the ages. That’s clutch. Seriously Clutch. The will to win.

If Verlander is pitching well he will stay in for as long as he wants. There’s no question Hinch is on the same page here.

If we have a lead, and AJ pinch hits for Verlander, we shall be pissed.

Thou shalt not hook or pinch hit thy pitcher whilst he hath strength and whence thy bullpen is complete ****.

It's in there; I know it.

Let's not be silly. If we have a 1-run lead with bases loaded with two outs late in the game and Verlander's coming up, we're pinch hitting him.

Seriously: even if JV gives up four or five. There's more chance he comes right than anyone else on the roster. 150 pitches. It's the freaking World Series.

And for next year, somebody's gotta help this team not completely use up their bullpen before freaking August.

It makes sense. Except your bullpen has given up 3-run leads THREE TIMES in the last week.

Ok, I just misunderstood the original post. I interpreted it as this is the 3rd time a major Houston sports team has gone to the final series.

Using the bullpen tonight would work tonight because their mentality is one and done. Right now the Astros are on adrenaline. The Dodgers are going to be tight, they are more drained than the Stros. They are going to feel like every at-bat is their last one. I like to see bullpen to close it out and finished the game as a complete team.

If leading, that would be a tough call depending on how he is pitching and how he is feeling. Now if you reverse it and say they are losing 7th inning or later, then they 99.99999% would pinch hit.

I gotta think Bregman has something to say about this. I would not like to be the one to vote...it could go to a number of guys. Giles, Harris, Liriano.

    Or Yuli or Correa.

Assuming you are talking about the Astros bullpen, where does THREE TIMES come from? They blew a 3-run lead Sunday and that's been it over the past week. They also blew 1 3 run lead against the Yankees.

Hey you guys, I asked this yesterday but I'm going to try once more. It's kind of a weird request, but does anyone have the video of when the Dodgers took game 4 and Kershaw ran up to the mound for a little hot doggin?
