Hey Bobby, stick to reading and reporting on player contracts, and other capology insights.

kthx, I say while praying he's wrong.

I think it was the radio guys who pointed out that Harden is still getting calls on drives.

    But not on 3pt shots.

That was at the beginning of the game though.

Makes me think that maybe the "gather" rule doesn't apply to drives.

I would say that Harden is getting about 40-50% of the calls that he should be getting on drives right now. So many fouls are being uncalled.

I hope Morey or D'Antoni says something.

Yeah they decided that they can't figure out this Harden rule so they're just not gonna call fouls on Harden

My number one complaint on Harden for years has always been when he continues to draw a foul in close games and the refs won't give it to him. Even if he knows the ref isn't giving it to him he'll just keep doing it and turn it over

He needs to stop looking for fouls and become the step back king again

I agree that Harden would do well to go back to more step backs.

But at the same time, if he's held to a completely different standard of officiating than everybody else in the league, then it's impossible for him to be the same caliber of player. Completely changes his style of play (and the Rockets style of play).

Most the looks we're getting aren't clearly open looks though. Eric Gordon's shot selection is horrific at times. Yes he's a great shooter, but when his shots not falling he doesn't need to be jacking up 3's from halfcourt. Same with Ryno. The Rockets need to incorporate a midrange game asap. Also, I think we're missing Bev this year. Not necessarily his skill. But his grit, determination & ENERGY. The Rockets look flat. We need a spark off the bench, we need a energy. I'm not liking the way we're looking now

Friendly reminder that we are really good with CP3

The issue right now is Ariza, Tucker, and LMAM are too redundant. Not getting enough scoring output from Tucker and LMAM off the bench. They need to be able to make threes like they did in the Warriors game. Of course, having a reliable PG at all times will help.

I believe we'll be good, too. But using that as a basis?

    Lol.

Terrible loss. Mostly because the team looked slow and didn't play with force to start the game. There was just no sense of urgency. They should be able to correct that.

Effort aside, this team in MDA's offense is a sum is greater than the individual parts. The PG's drive the offense. ALL OF IT. All of the action is pick and roll. So, aside from Harden the team still needs secondary creators and weakside action. We are badly missing CP3 for this. And with Gordon starting, the Rockets aren't getting that efficient boost off the bench that they need. So, when healthy, this team will hum. But with injuries, it is like they are Jenga and the offense falls in on itself.

Rockets 2017 pre-season Trevor Ariza averaged 16ppg on 47% 3pt shooting. What the F happened?
Is it basically he "got better shots" because CP3 was out there with Harden creating looks?

This team, as constructed, cannot implement Morey's vision of 3's and lay-ups. Only Harden and Gordon and create, and no one can sink a 3.

I don´t like our team right not, but we should give the the benefit of doubt.

We are going all switch, even on the post. I think our players are redundant too, but I think is on purpose. Big wings who can defend multiple positions, rebound, bang in the post a couple times a game and average 3pt shooting.

I still think we are one shooter down.

And also worried about betting on Ego and Paul´s Health.

Sixers are going to be goog, Simmons is the real deal

he's always been streaky like this, his entire career. wouldn't be surprised if he shoots 70% on 3's the next couple games. and then reverts back to 15% the following 2!
