I’d like to remind everyone that 2 of the 5 games were pitching duels, one game lasted a little over 2 hours, and the other game was a 1 freaking hitter into the 9th. All this talk about slick and juiced baseballs is laughable to me. The umpires check the baseballs. The pitchers can throw out the balls if they don’t like them. I’m not sure I believe it.

PLEASE let it be a 2 hour 2-1 game. I went to sleep at 9pm last night & woke up at 4am. I'll have no chance with another high scoring, much less extra innings game.

Not only that but it was like 100+ degrees in LA to start the series which is 100% proven to make balls fly further.

Anyway, as far as baseball goes. We've got to hope for the best from Verlander, but we can't expect anything. The more run support he gets the better. We might need every bit of offense we can muster. I agree with the theory that generally speaking, the more time players see pitchers in the course of a week or whatever, the more players are ready to get hits off of that pitcher. The good thing is is that Verlander has a fantastic winning attitude, and I think he can persevere through anything.
