Hate to say it, but CP3 coming back is not gonna help much. Our problem lies in the frontcourt. None of our forwards can shoot or drive. They are bad offensive players. I doubt he will change that.

If the Rockets are going to brick 40 3's...they better play defense

If the Rockets aren't gonna play defense...they better hit their 3's

They'll lose to anybody playing like they did tonight. Garbage performance.

Daryl Morey blew it by not going after Melo.

Ouch. That blown layup by Capela late was a killer.

On a more positive note, Go Astros!!

I agree that our problem is with the frontcourt...pretty much all of our non-guards can’t do anything off the dribble our create their own look other than Moute on occasion

I’d love for us to trade for someone like Tobias Harris, but with the way he’s playing and with Detroit winning games that’s not gonna happen

CP3 will help Harden to be more efficient and reduce his playmaking responsibilities...we can also go back to having 1 of Harden or CP3 on the court at all times which should help a lot

yeah and on the next play he let embiid pin him under the basket for a point blank shot. that actually happened several times tonight and you would think a long jumping jack like him might try fronting so deep in the paint instead. capela's bball IQ has long a way's to go.

It's a gimmick 100%. I can't believe there are people out there who still think we are implementing some kind of revolutionary strategy, when it's just nothing more than gambling with high variance outcome. And as you said, more than half the teams in this league would do it better if they actually played the way we play every night, but of course chooses not to because it's basically a dumb strategy.

problem is Embiid is so much bigger and has so many offensive moves to use that Capela would find it tough to defend him.

This is why teams had trouble defending Hakeem...........Embiid is of the same mould

we are on the receiving end this time

Harden was pretty damn good to close this game defensively.

It must be frustrating to be fouled on literally every single possession, and the league have instructed their officials to not give him free throws.

Morey doesn't know basketball. He should be going after players that can drive, shoot and finish i.e. Beasley and Nick Young. The so called "defensive specialists" are overblown. Defense is all about effort and I believe most NBA players can at least become decent defensive players if they put in effort (unless you are white or asian). And you simply cannot stop great offensive players like the warriors. Offense is about skill and talent and we should go after those good offensive players, especially with the system that we have. Morey never understands this. He constantly fills the roster with stiffs who have no offensive skills. Who besides Morey would be dumb enough to trade Beasley for Ennis? Beasley is one of the best shotmakers in the nba and there's no doubt in my mind he would have thrived here. That trade still haunts me.

He will at least reduce some of Harden's absolutely woeful passing which result in turnovers.

I mean he has always done these stupid passes, but it just seems like at the start of this season they've increased drastically.
