He wasn't an X factor but he certainly provided scoring which is what we've needed. Luc doesn't want to shoot, Tucker isn't a shooter, & I have no idea with Ariza.

Idk if I should overreact, I didn't even realize they were missing Reddick til the 3rd quarter but Philly played unstoppable tonight. Mccoll or whatever his name & Bayless were swishing 3's, Saric was unconscious in the first half, Simmons destroyed anyone who guarded him, Embiid is Embiid.

 

McConnell was making his 3s. whataya gonna do.

even simmons was making his shot. (except for his FTs)

 

rockets are a "crisis figure team"and yes they along with okc are expected to be in the wcf.. i just hate how harden is playing, i want the 40 point harden back

 

Positive: we were a made shot a way from taking the lead and putting the sixers away. When we have Gordon Moute and Tuck on the floor at the same time, we always look good.
Negative: slow starts are really killing us. If we played good teams, the game would be over midway 3rd qtr. we need cp3 pushing the ball and making smart decisions out there. Our 1st and second teams just play too much the same way in terms of pace.

 

there’s barely any off ball movement, and all we do is jack up a ton of threes while not even being a good 3 point shooting team...not many athletes on this team, not many creators, not many skilled offensive players

we need bev back we need that defensive intensity! When u have bad shooting nights like this, we need to grind it out with defense, this is the true thing this team is missing, I am sure cp3 would help
But even without him we should be able to win against 76ers what a shame to lose a game like this

 

I told yall before the season Ariza is trash. I warned yall.

 

ariza and tucker combined for 2-14 on 3's. but that's nothing out of the ordinary for them.

morey has given the coaching staff a roster full of 1-way players, many of whom are injury prone, most of whom are old and unathletic, and most of whom are very streaky shooters.

and the coaching staff has insisted on running 8 players heavy minutes, making these old & slow guys even more tired. but as with ariza/tucker, this is expected from this coaching staff.

I wonder if the Rockets front office knows that this team doesn't have the shooting personnel to jack up 50 3s a game?

Like there are scrub teams in the league who's 3rd best shooter is better than our second best.

I think if more than half the teams in the league started jacking up threes like the Rockets they could do it on the same or better efficiency.

I'm sorry but this is just starting to become a gimmick rather than a sustainable winning strategy. They need an actual offense now.

Passive, slow play-making Harden is not a superstar or a top 5 player.

I would like to know more about what kind of shots we usually take, but i'm pretty sure we shoot bad (Bull just said we're 27th in the league for 3pt %) cause the quality of our shots is just not as good as other teams like Warriors and Spurs, those teams have great ball movement and most of their shots are well created (only Curry, Durant and maybe Kawhi are probably forcing some bad/contested shots but well, they're elite shooters). As for the Rockets well, i see a lot of forced and/or quick contested shots per game by Harden, Gordon...i'm also not a fan of Ariza threes in transition, when he dribbles, stops and shoot while there's literally no one of our player close to the paint...i feel like that's just a waste of a possession.

Now that i think about this, Bull also said few games ago that the Rockets last season (or he was talking about this season maybe, not sure now but whatever...) were something between 25th and 28th in assisted field goals so, yeah, i guess a lot of our shots are not exactly good shots, that's probably why we're like 27th in 3pt %.
