The 76ers are still disappointing their fans. Glad my team is the Rockets.

    http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Shorthanded-Rockets-learning-to-adjust-12315661.php

... “With (Ariza’s) injury, he had to stay off his feet,” D’Antoni said. “It’s going to be the same with Chris when we get him back. It’s going to take a little while to get in game shape and get his legs under him. Trevor is the same way. Nene missed and he’s the same way. It doesn’t matter. We move on.”

“We’ll be all right,” Harden said. “Keep staying with it and just try to get better every single day. Once guys start filling back in, that’s when we can make things work.”

The schedule, however, will not wait. Harden averaged 38 minutes on the road trip, Gordon 39.

“Every guy handles it differently,” D’Antoni said. “Eric Gordon is probably the one who has a lot more minutes than he normally would have. But that’s the nature of the beast. When Chris comes back, I get (Gordon) back in his normal minutes. We just have to watch him to make sure he’s fine and doesn’t have some nicks that might turn into something else.

“I try to get him enough rest that he can play a few more minutes than he normally would. We might take a day off instead of practice to make sure he stays off his feet and can handle three or four more minutes instead of practicing for an hour and a half. That wouldn’t make any sense. We can do things to get around it for the short term.”

The Rockets have never given a timetable for Paul to return and Paul said on Friday that he “has no clue,” though D’Antoni said Paul’s bruised left knee would be reexamined this week in Houston to get a better idea of his progress.

    http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets...c-Gordon-due-back-Monday-against-12317537.php

Battling a stomach on Friday in Charlotte, Rockets guard Eric Gordon gave himself every chance to sweat it out. It did not work.

Gordon’s 38 minutes, 50 seconds in Charlotte, were the third-most he has played with the Rockets. He played 39 minutes and 55 seconds against the Jazz last season and 39 minutes, 54 seconds last week against the 76ers, the game he ended with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

His extra work on Friday did not cure him. Gordon sat out the game in Memphis the next night, but is due back tonight in the rematch against the 76ers.

“It was just something that happened the day of the Charlotte game,” Gordon said. “Played through it and it got worse right after the game. Too tough for me to play against Memphis. I feel a little better. Still under the weather. I’m definitely playing tonight, that’s for sure.”

Gordon’s return after missing Saturday’s loss in Memphis with a stomach virus will give the Rockets a different lineup for the third-consecutive game and for the fourth time in five games. They will have used the same set of starters in consecutive games just twice in the first eight games when they face the 76ers Monday at Toyota Center.

“I think we can only get better at this point,” Gordon said of the Rockets hopes to improve with some continuity as they wait for Chris Paul’s return. “There’s a lot of things we haven’t done as well offensively. All we can do is pick it up. Guys are understanding their roles, understanding what we need to do. We’ll be fine. The best is yet to come.”

trey williams gets some real actual game action in the 2nd Q and crowns the king of gasconade (embiid) with a teabagging dunk. two hours prior pringles was diagnosed with food poisoning (is it contagious?) and roy rogers was inserted temporarily as head coach.

Hopefully guys show up and we have a strong game. Should beat this team by at least 10-15 points.

We need a win. Get it together, Rockets. You have to make it work with what you've got.

Glad they are keeping any eye on Gordon's minutes to the best that they can. If he is too extended, there is diminishing returns. Look forward to CP3 getting back and Gordon back to his usual minutes. Having a really great start to the season. Want to keep that up.

Mike won't play him so it'd be another useless signing like Isaiah Canaan.

Primary scorer Harden needs to make an re-appearance tonight.

This over-thinking, slow playmaking thing is getting stale.
