Lin became star running MDA offense, and he was no elite/all-star player then or now. There are certain skill sets required but not necessary to be an all star. It was a loss, let's learn from it, get healthy and on to the next game.

 

You have to be quick, for one. Lin's speed is very underrated. He's excellent end to end.

You have to be able to keep the dribble while searching, for two.

You have to make the defense respect your shot, for three. Otherwise they go under that screen.

It's not just Lin, Felton too. DAntoni is a PGs dream.

I want to see Paul full speed in this offense. I saw briefly preseason game 1(IIRC), and he can run it back like none other.

good game what. Don't mind a lot of these guys here...as much as I love this team/our fan-base we have have some crazy homers. The grizzlies are great, and injury or no injury to our players the outcome would have been the same.

 

I'm a Kansas Jayhawks fanatic I love ben mclemore but cmon he's been one of the biggest disappointments since entering the NBA.

Green had a pretty nice year last years but your talking role players guys that are at best the 7-9 man on the roster.

The rockets are without a top 10 player in cp3 and there 3rd best player who happens to be a 24 ppg scorer.

Big big difference.

Following aspects:

-) Rockets could have easily dropped the games against GSW and Philly. The won each by 1.

The Kings game was not so great either.

Sure, they were all road games but you could not help but wonder what if.

-) Grizz have a good run, no doubt about it.

Is it sustainable over the course of a season? It might, we have to see.

Agreed, Conley and Marc are 2 very good players but the team's depth is worrisome and the injury and fatigue risk is huge over the remnant 70+ games.

 

Disappointing loss, you can tell guys were just packing it in once the 2nd half started. Was going to be a tough game to begin with of course, without two of our top three players, 2nd half of back to back, etc. So I'm not losing sleep over this one.

One thing that is annoying is that we play the Grizzlies all four times before CP3 gets back. Also, Bobby Brown really sucks smh.

 

The Rockets are built around Harden/Paul/Gordon. MDA's pick and roll offense. This team looks terrible without one of them driving the bus offensively. It is what it is.

Didnt kendell marshall average 11 assists and 12 points under MDA? Kendell marshall is not even in the nba anymore.Plus lin was and will allways be a role player

Without Gordon, Harden needs to make 40pts to win Grizzles.

Harden is struggling on offense in recent games.

 

Fatty Felton was balling under DAntoni.

As constructed, this isn't a SSOL Dantoni team. Harden takes 7 seconds to get past half court. Dantonis SSOL teams athletic criteria, per his own statement, was a quickness advantage in 3 of the 5 positions. We definitely don't have that, also the inbound to the 3pt line. We don't do that. Dantoni has made adjustments. I think when Paul's running the show it'll be some vintage SSOL. But with Harden, that ain't happening.

So this team with Harden won 55 games last season whats you're point. Harden is a top 3 offensive player and at worst top 6 player. Last season Harden orchastrated one of the top 10 offenses of alltime.

I always thought we had problems against the Grizz but never imagined they'd actually win 2 games out of 3 or 4.

 

Need to sit nene for a few weeks top rest his body. Black can fill in just fine for a while

 

MDA can only win 55 or more games if he has a Steve Nash level PG
