I never thought the Astros were gonna win all 3 at MMP and 4 in a row over the Dodgers. A 104 win team doesn't lose 4 straight in the World Series after going 8-1 up until that point in the postseason.

This series is still looking good for the Stros provided they win tonight. You couldn't ask for a better scenario than Verlander on the mound in Game 6 with a chance to clinch the World Series.

I agree, but dodgers couldnt ask for a better scenario then kershaw on the mound of game 5 to give them a 3-2 lead with two chances to close out at home.

These are two fantastic 100+ win teams and both fanbases are very nervous im sure lol

After game 2, my gut felt you had to win 2 of 3 in Houston and with Kershaw probably going in game 5 that meant winning games 3 and 4. Now they have do something that the odds are against: either beat Kershaw or win games 6 and 7 on the road. Frankly, I believe the more likely of these two unlikely scenarios is the second one with Verlander getting the series to 7 and the Astros besting Yu Darvish again in game 7. Hoping for a miracle tonight. No first pitch homer is allowed Keuchel. In fact no momentary lapses at all. He’ll have to be perfect and even if he is, Kershaw is so consistently dominant that we could still lose

Ever since I saw Mariano Rivera blow a save in Game 7 of the 2001 World Series, I have always believed that any pitcher can be had.

the baseballs gods gifted us that game 2, Hinch gave it right back.
Baseball gods, please fix this. bless our bats and the astros' vision for that pitching demon will be out in full force 2 days before hallow's eve. Yes, we had one player go full idiot mode but he does not represent one entire city. Forgive him and punish those who give oral to wooden baseball bats and punish red beards. In the name of yogi, babe and clemente save us from our bullpen.

Darvish is unlikely to repeat that awful performance again at home. That's all I'm saying. Tough game to predict. It's the classic bounce-back game scenario.

For me it's not the loss, but how we lost.

Tie game and Giles just implodes on the mound. Then, you have the bats going cold all night with a one-hit solo home run through 8 innings. I would be fine right now if the Dodgers came back and won, but fought tooth and nail for it.

Astros just collectively folded last night after the excellent outing by Morton. Can't throw a game in the World Series.

Decision to put Giles on mound was inexcusable, but is important to also note the lack of urgency from our hitters. Alex Wood was no where’s near good enough to be pitching a no-hitter through 5. His pitches consistently were missing the strike zone. There were missed opportunities for more walks and hits without a doubt

Well, this is it. I don't think anyone is winning two games in a row at Dodger field. Tonight will determine the future WS winner. The Astros either hit Kershaw and the Dodger bullpen or they don't.

THe whole team is distracted now because of Gurriels racist thing. They were on a roll but that has pretty much killed it. Astros are basically done in this series and you can thank Gurriel.

So I'm not going to read through the whole thread. Stopped reading after Giles was put in.

Does anybody think we have a chance tonight? I have no clue how all this is going to go.
