You want to blame anyone for this mess? Blame Trump. He used the NFL to distract from his failed, corrupt administration. There were MAYBE 5 players still protesting before his comments. There were less every week. He threw gasoline on the embers to get back at the NFL (for rejecting him and to distract). Trump supporters are the DUMBEST SOBs on the planet.
I'm not so sure about that, but I do believe this could be a distraction that will hurt some of their individual performances. It's hard to believe someone would just roll over on an NFL field and risk injury by not trying.
If the reports are true, many players said they didn't even want to play this game....over a god damn idiom that they are stupid enough to take literally.
