I beg to differ. I won't tell you my life but suffice to say I know that I am plenty capable.

I don't care if the players want to protest or not, but I don't think they should be doing it on company time.

Be very careful, players and their supporters might mistake your sound logic for racism. Me I'm not as careful because I've already been unfairly labeled even though I'm a minority myself.

    No, he did not.

Try to discover the facts before passing judgment.

McNair's comment was to Goodell's NFL League Office making decisions without consulting the owners.

It was the same sentiment at the same time Jerry Jones objected to the same issue.

McNair's comments were not directed to or about the players.

Now if you want to make up your own alternative reality, enjoy your trip.

I support the idea behind their protest and I don't care when they do it.

Went through similar in the 1960s/70s... history tends to repeat itself.

Here's hoping Duane Brown gets traded. Guy is a cancer.

daily reminder that mcnair brought a team that stayed out of anthem protest and forced them to now be in the spotlight.

When you're on the clock, you're supposed to perform your job duties and reflect the values of the company while being professional.

If the players want to talk it out, they could air their grievances privately with management. Ideally towards the end of the season, say around Christmas time. They could hold it around the flag pole as that seems appropriate since it symbolizes what kicked off these protests. The players and management can express which position features more strength to their argument. This could be an annual thing so that players and management can have an amicable agreement entering the year. They could give that meeting some official name so that we can write it on the calendar every year.

You get so hung up on the literal meaning of an idiom....It makes me wonder how you function in life. If someone tells you to "break a leg" before you set out to do something competitive, are you offended that they want you to hurt yourself? I'm legitimately curious.

Based on your response to this issue, I'd have to assume you'd never forgive them for wishing injury on you.

Yep Brown is why this organization is where it's at right now huh not
Don't get mad and frustrated all that leads to is more stupidity outpouring from a bad place. You can call people names all you want but you are not the one being affected and the players of the nfl are the ones protesting against McNair so the point your trying to prove with figure of speech is one thing but how McNair has been privately with tenured players on the texans is another. So don't get mad.

You are only hung up on this one instance but your not looking at past instances that weren't reported that players like Duane Brown have brought up that points to Bob having some suspect ways. But i guess that's why you are calling him a cancer because he has the balls to speak the truth and other players are following.

Man, nobody thinks that way anymore. Those ideals ended along with the death of the career ladder and pensions. And unlike the NBA, there's still an ongoing power struggle between players and owners.

Do what you gotta do, if you can handle the consequences... airing grievances behind closed doors isn't going to deal any real damage.

First of all, you didn't answer the question, would you be offended by someone saying "break a leg". I honestly want to know because you legitimately don't seem capable of understanding idioms.

Secondly, what past "instances"? Are you talking about how a conservative Republican wasn't happy about a liberal Democrat being elected? LOL just what do you think that's an "instance" of?

I mean, you seriously have me laughing right now, so I honestly hope you are just trolling. I'd hate to think you actually believe the completely ridiculous BS you are spewing right now.

You are merely talking about the death of professionalism, and you aren't wrong. it's absolutely an endangered species these days as people are increasingly childish and irresponsible.

bob mcnair opened up the door that allowed duane brown to take advantage of the situation.

bob never opens up his stupid mouth, nobody gives a **** what duane brown has to say, no players walk out of practice, players keep standing for the anthem, no extra media spotlight, no 43 page on this.....

So Duane stopped them from walking out and instead told them to protest?
