I know this is a best of three but such a huge momentum builder....based on the a$$like performance by our bullpen(sans reg season starters)...Will Harris is trash. So is Giles...So is Musgrove...etc etc etc...unbelievable.

I understand the reasoning behind giving Yuli the standing ovation, but eeeehhhh -- the optics don't look great.

    oh well.

I’m not really that mad about this game. Don’t know why. Our bullpen has completely collapsed but we’re still 2 wins away from a World Series title. It would have been nice to clinch at home but that was always a long shot. Giles shouldn’t pitch again this year unless there’s a blowout.

Well all hands on deck now, any starters should be ready to go like McHugh, peacock, morton in game 6 or 7 out of pen if needed. I somewhat trust DEvenski and wish Hinch left him in the 9th. We should have enough arms that can get outs so lets just ignore the bullpen and go with starters only and devenski if needed. Got to get it tonight!

So now we either have to beat Kershaw and then another game in LA, or we have to win 2 more games in LA :/

Agree. I'm going tonight and would've loved to have that experience. I'm already having a hard enough time wrapping my head around the possibility of the Astros being World Series Champions. I can't imagine what my emotions would be having been able to see it in person.

We can crap on Giles and Hinch and anyone else you want. Turns out, the Dodgers are a pretty freakin good team, too. This is such an incredibly evenly matched series. It would almost be disappointing for it to not go 7...almost.

If we can get to Kershaw and force them into their pen early tonight, I think the series is ours. Of course, they're saying the same exact thing. McHugh needs to prep as if he's starting.

This. Absolutely no sense in putting Giles in. I think he did to prove a point that he trusts him and it backfired. Blunders like this should get people fired.

Yep. That’s why my gut was telling me the winner of game 4 probably wins the series. But this Astros team is full of surprises. We have beat a lot of good pitchers this post season. Sale, Kimbrel, Tanaka, Severino, Chapman, Jansen. Why not add Kershaw to that list. We are in our house. Beat his ass.

Hinch skippered this team to a ****ing World Series, and trusted the guy who closed for us ALL SEASON. No, he should not be fired. Yes, it backfired. But he's got to be able to trust SOMEBODY in that bullpen.

I think it would be slightly more accurate to say that Hinch has to use guys he doesn't trust at times. Just because he puts a guy in there doesn't equivocate to trust.

Just because a guy performs in the regular season does NOT equate to being able to do it in the playoffs.

If it were just a game or two in the playoffs I would have no problem putting Giles back out there. That said he has given up runs in six of seven appearances in the playoffs and is ERA is 11.74 after last nights debacle.

Yes Hinch has to "trust somebody in that bullpen" and it's been apparent for quite awhile that it shouldn't be Giles.

I said it countless times last night, Giles is who he is, and it was VERY apparent that even Hinch didn't really have that much trust in him as he had Harris warming up late in Friday nights game if Peacock faltered (NOT Giles). So why he would put him out there last night is beyond me.

Hopefully Hinch has FINALLY learned that Giles is NOT someone he can trust right now.

If giles gets on the mound today or in LA, lol wouldnt be surprised if an astros fans runs on the mound and steals the ball. Hinch would oficially troll us with that move.

Giles has been ass for weeks, even before the postseason. I can't remember the last 1-2-3 inning that guy had. He had plenty of other options. He could have gone with Devo for another inning. He could have gone to McHugh to start the inning. In fact, I don't understand why he didn't have McHugh ready to go in the 7th knowing that Morton was a batter away from being pulled. McHugh should've finished that game. I thought that was the plan pre-game from what I read. For whatever dumbass reason, he thought Giles was going to get through the 9th clean. This is not hindsight being 20/20. Everyone I know cringed when he got put in the game.
