Its a blessing and a curse man. Im going to be a zombie until this playoff run is over. Hope we close it out in 5.

Losing sleep and Ditching out on so many social and work obligations. So worth it. I need a xanex just to be able to sleep today before the game.

I laugh at all the halloween parties this weekend in houston and austin that wont have the WS on.

I'm going to be single by the end of the series... My gf is already throwing hints out there about dinner tonight, I kindly just told her the game is tonight... She said "another one?" I just laughed it off and said yeah but I swear if she even tries to stop me from watching one sweet moment of this beat down I'm going to say something that will make her cry.......

I understand announcers trying to make audience think it is a closer game than it is. Not every game is going to be like Game 2. Also, I think announcers just haven't seen Astros enough. Astros have a historic offense, but it is like no one believed it until Game 2.

I think Smoltz wants the Astros to win as he, though will talk about newer metrics, is against modern analytics for pitchers. No one tell him Astros just have good starters.

Glad that one didn't get blown up on ESPN.

They were doing that for us in game 2. Smoltz kept saying that if they could get at least 1 in the 8th against Jansen, etc., etc.

I know we’re mostly Houstonians and we’re used to being s*** on by the national media. That’s not happening here. They have been pretty balanced, even in the ALCS. We just want so bad to believe we’re the underdogs and no one gives us a chance. It’s just not the case. They recognize that we were one of the 3 best teams and we belong here. Yeah, the post game guys were pretty bad in the earlier series...but look who’s on that panel. A former Red Sox, a former Yankee, a former New York Met, and a fat jackass that has some grudge against Bagwell (because he knows who the better player truly was).

Enjoy the fact that they aren’t all against us. It will make the game a little less stressful than it already is.

We need to stomp on them hard and crush their souls. Win 9-2. That will set up the inevitable Astros win / World Series win on Sunday.

In this series, I haven't detected that much of a bias towards the Dodgers. What I do get tired of is the constant comments about Altuve being short. I guess he's new to the national stage so they have to retread the "short guy" road that's already been addressed time after time for anyone who's paid any attention at all to the Astros.

Now that that's out of the way, it was a great win by the Astros last night. The double play with bases loaded was awesome. The Astros aggressive baserunning was exactly what we needed and worked well. Excellent job by the team.

Man, I worry about this series with what Yuli has done. I wonder if it gives the Dodgers some motivation.

I think you and @dandorotik should watch the game together. I hear he likes to get wild during the games.

Baseball isn't a game you can play angry. Have to play clear headed. Unfortunately, the commissioner now has control over whether Yuli plays tonight. That is a problem.

If the Dodgers need that for motivation, then they've already lost. But I am worried in this PC climate of ours that he might be suspended for a game. And what will the reaction be if he is suspended and the Astros lose because they struggle for hits?

Worst case scenario for today: 1) Yuli gets suspended and 2) the roof is forced to be open.

I disagree. Handing over free adrenaline to these guys (any opponent) is just a bad idea, regardless of circumstance.

I'm sure the Dodgers players, Darvish included, couldn't give 2 ****s about what Yuli did.

The Astros Onesie is now 4-0. Only game 1 did I put a different one on because this one was dirty. Last night we had a birthday dinner with family at 9PM PST and we already were late so we had to leave right at the end of the 8th. Had to change the baby but needed to make sure he was still wearing his onesie somehow lol. So this is how we went to the restaurant until the game was over then it came off.

That maybe true. But there certainly isn't any upside about it. And while this incident may be benign, there have been others in the past that certainly affected the play of the opposing team.
