Anyone else want to see Keuchel on short rest followed by Charlie, then Verlander if necessary and Keuchel in game 7 if needed?

I think they need to stick to the plan. Hinch has been great at not overthinking things so far and that needs to continue. Trust in Morton tonight. You've got your two best starters to follow that on normal rest. Keep it simple.

Astros are 7-0 at home this postseason.

Pretty much the entire team is playing better here vs on the road.

McCann is batting .348 with 6 RBIs -- he's 0-21 on the road.

it's not farfetched whatsoever this series never returns to LA.

Let's continue the great work !!!!

They've played great defense in the postseason. If they played great defense consistently during the regular season, they would have won at least 10 more games.

Morton and Mchugh pitch a shutout, that would be my wish.

Varies between pitcher and how they are used (i.e., is their arm stretched out for more innings). Dodgers relievers available besides Jansen probably are going to have issues after about 15-20 pitches. Wood has lost nearly 4mph since the beginning of the year and likely is the worst starter Astros have faced in playoffs since the Sox. A lot of ingredients for the Astros seeing a reliever out there past what he's capable of pitching effectively.

Even if Morton ****s up I trust mchugh enough to get the job done. Short rest does nobody good.

Our offense has actually left a ton on the table the last 2 games. 36 baserunners and 12 runs (5 of which were HR) so only 7 of 31 non HR baserunners have managed to get across the plate.

I'm still confident we have a least one more true mollywhopping left in us.

Shut out would be nice. I've seen so much about why Hinch is going to have trust his bullpen that I am hoping for Astros to close out the series with just using tandem starters and a nine inning gem by Keuchel right in front of Kershaw's face. On Kershaw, I am surprised how much dislike I have for him....tough to get past the childhood conditioning to dislike Dodger aces.

    Hinch less t-shirt

Went to game 3 and bought the Astros Dodgers t-shirt with the rosters on the back. looking it over this morning. Its has a spot for Dodgers Manager 30 Dave Roberts, but no AJ Hinch.

Drunk? Not at all. Lots of teams have their aces go on short rest in the World Series. I'm not introducing a new idea. Think Curt Schilling. He started game 1,4 & 7 back in 2001 and they won the championship. Randy Johnson started game 6 and came on in relief in game 7.

Don't call me drunk, call me a guy with a far better memory than you.

Not many pitchers are conditioned to be able to do that still. Keuchel is one of the few. That said, Morton looks to be the type of pitcher that should do well against the Dodgers. Dodgers like working counts and forcing guys to challenge them. Even if Morton has to challenge hitters...he's not throwing pitches that are easy to barrel. Morton gets his curve in there for some early strikes and announcers are going to be talking about how a 4-run lead isn't safe against the Dodger offense again.

I have to agree. I'm still getting used to baseball's biggest game being played in our backyard and we are winning. Something Houston fans are not used to!

Now that we got rid of the Yankees, I think the broadcasts have been much more balanced. However their constanst opining that the Dodgers can come back was very strange.

FWIW, I really like Smoltz as a color man.
