    This is an objectively laughable assessment. There are no people who seriously watch the game and look at the data who come to that conclusion about Ariza's performance.

    Ariza is a good defender and a good 3pt shooter. Somewhat up or down from that makes sense, but to say he is horrible on both ends of the floor is indefensible. If we wanted to trade him to a middle of the pack Eastern conference team, they would want him in an instant and send us an asset in return. Because not only is he good at defense and shooting for a decade now, but he is also on an excellent declining scale contract comensurate with his ageing.

    Let's not sleep on PJ Tucker's defense too. His PF/C defense is astonishingly Chuck Hayes like, and he can switch onto guards.

    I didn’t even bother to watch The Rockets, I just checked how much we won by. Don’t think I ever doubted Rockets losing tonight. Man it’s getting to that point.

    The difference is Luc plays smart defense.

    He is going to be one of the most vital players on this team during the playoffs.

    I watch every Rockets game and Ariza gets blown by every game. His shooting is very inconsistent, shot selections are horrible, can't dribble, doesn't know when and how to cut to the basket and he's a terrible finisher at the rim. He brings nothing to the table. He is very overrated.
