He actually played decent defense. I saw him getting lost occasionally but overall he played surprisingly well on the defensive and even ran the team decently.

Okay win. We still look sloppy for stretches on offense. Defense was weak to start the game, but really came on strong. Loved the effort.

And as a big Ryno hater I have to give him props for stepping up tonight. He was huge.

Ryno is an underrated post defender. We just need to keep him away from the perimeter as far as possible, because that's where he gets burned most of the time.

I watch every single Rockets game, and yes I can say with absolute confidence that Ariza's defense is overrated. Tell me when is the last time Ariza gave any opposing guards/forwards really hard time. Luc has already done that multiple times this year, and we're only 6 games into the season.

    Great win tonight.

MVP of the game is Mr. Triple Double himself, James the Bearded One Harden.

I love the way Gordon has been playing. We can officially say we have our own big three once CP3 comes back.

Hey Bobby Brown finally got some minutes. Lol

Rockets had some beautiful passing sequences between Luc, Tucker, Gordon, Bobby but couldn't get a nice shot out of it. Really nice and crisp passing but the open guys didn't take the shot (Luc & PJ).

Man stop it. Ariza defense is not overrated. And you are not the only one watching every game.

Not sure if I saw that. Describe it more. Or do you have a screen shot of it?

Good win by Houston. D'antoni should not play just 8 guys in a regular season game. If he continues, his players will again be worn out or hurt by playoffs.

It's pretty strange but his best position atleast defensively is prob the center position.

He's just not a rim protector but he doesn't everything else pretty well.

He's battled on the boards this season and is actually forcing guys much quicker than him into long twos which I imagine is what Bizdelick is wanting out of him.

He's always been a pretty good post defender I actually can't remember the last time I thought he got abused down there. I remember last season he was doing fantastic against cousins in the post till he sprained his ankle.

Considering we were missing 2 starters and the backup center he had no choice

Just saw a replay of it.

They were having their big follow Anderson on a PnP by going between Harden and MKG (who was guarding Harden).

The big stunted at Harden and then went to go back to Anderson who he had lost contact with by engaging with the screen like this.

You can see at 17 seconds in the video here:

I would go as far as to say his defense sucks. He is horrible on both ends of the floor. Luc is clearly a better player.

Playing Ryno as backup C more often AS LONG AS PJ TUCKER IS IN THE GAME, would be a great move.

Wow, you're annoying. Ever since not getting Melo, all you do is whine. All your posts are predictable. Made an account just to block people like you.

    This play?

I think that's more about our response to the big hedging, by having Ryno basically slip the pick. It looks more about MDA trying to neutralize hedging the pick, by slipping it with a quick pop, resulting in the big having to follow Ryno in front of MKG.

I also think this might be a response to how well OKC used the hedge in the playoffs, where Taj Gibson would flash just briefly and that's all Roberson needed to get over the pick and track Harden to the rim with his long arms. I'll see if I can make a vid of that real quick. I have all the games still saved. (Seems like 3rd Q Game 3 or 4 is calling me.)
