No, it's really not a misunderstanding, it's either a really stupid person simply being a stupid person or it's cynical political spin....which is being swallowed whole and regurgitated by stupid people.

One way or the other, stupidity plays a pivotal role in this being a story.

 

The problem though is that no one categorizes all NFL players as "criminals and thugs". It's pretty obvious that they are overly entitled and whiny millionaires.

Obviously you don't - systemic racism is about pervasiveness that is not a bug but an institutional feature - and not a few bad racist apples polluting the otherwise wholesome bunch.

I’m starting to understand something else now as well. It’s not that most Americans are racist or just don’t care about the issues, I’m starting to believe that most just aren’t equipped to comprehend and understand what the issues actually are.

 

If Hopkins is really that dismayed by these comments then time to wake up.

These players are always referencing the "business" side of things. As an every day working citizen, there is a realization that we are all worker bees to someone. Get over it Hop. Drama queen you are.

 

If this is true then this is what I was talking about earlier in thread. This has put these players in an awkward situation.

 

I liked a comment I read on twitter, talking about McNair being out of touch and tone deaf. But tone deaf means unable to perceive differences accurately so really the players and folks over reacting are the ones that are tone deaf.

 

Yeah bobby shouldnt have been a condescending pric there. Emotions and the way people interpret things is complicated. You simply cant just call people dumb and move on

Bob mcnair used an ill timed analogy and well known expression in a bad climate. Shouldve been more politically aware and not choose that analogy at the time but this reflects absolutely nothing on bobs character IMO.

I honestly believe he is not racist and he is doing everything in his power to let people know that his analogy was misinterpreted (private and public apologies)

So many NFL players are like a cancer spreading throughout the body that will eventually kill the host and the cancer too. I love it!
