Rockets guard Chris Paul said he is progressing from the bruised left knee that has kept him out of four of the Rockets' five games
This makes me happy. Chris Paul is pissed he is not playing and he himself thinks he could be playing, and the Rockets are 4-1 and getting CP3 all kinds of rest. He is going to play 38 minutes a night in the playoffs. At the end of the day, we need Chris Paul to be healthy for the next 6 years. Get him to 110% and get a better backup PG/SG.
And Jackson still played over Canaan in the second half two days ago...i'm 100% wrong but i don't see those signing (the Nelson attempt too) happen if Paul is expected to be back in 10/15 days.
Jackson got in over Canaan because Canaan was only on the team for 90 minutes and no practices. I think once Canaan gets some practice time he will take those minutes.
man i just took straight on knee-to-knee collision w/ opposing team's PF about 90min ago. initially stung a bit and first thing that came to mind was CP3. but it went away after a few minutes and now i don't even feel anything. no frickin idea how it's keeping him out 3-5 weeks smh
I hope you're right, Canaan seems a nice guy but i think he's meh as a player, he has range with his shot but he seems to be streaky, Jackson is a better defender but with no shot...i mean, i don't really know who's worse...personally i'd still take Jackson just because he had less time to prove himself and he has probably still some upside but yeah...they're just a couple of bodies to throw out there to eat few minutes until CP comes back imo.
It kind of blows my mind that we haven't given Leandro Barbosa a call, since he was so instrumental in the speed and pace of those old Suns teams. He is about to turn 35, but he still puts up nearly identical per minute stats to his prime seasons a decade ago. Plus it would give Nene a Brazil Bro.
Perhaps because you have no idea how his exact collision occurred? Perhaps because all of our bodies are different?
We got major problems if Chris Paul's body is "different" enough to not heal from what we've been told was a "bruise".
After the Carmelo ordeal i’ve learned not to be optimistic about these things. Usually as fans we’re completely lost to the actuality of situations going on with players & the teams, what we think is logical based on the little info the media gives us usually isn’t even close to what’s going to happen. Never been for conspiracies, but I still think they’re lying to us.
If this gets worse ... It's the last straw with the rockets front office . You can be as great at working trades and drafting talent as they are ... But there is no reason to lie to the fans like this . The way dmo's back injury went down left a bad taste in my mouth . If there is actual structural damage to Paul's knee , they needed to come out and say it . Has it always been like this with the rockets ? Or is this a new thing where they try to emulate Bellicheck ?
Yep, too bad Jameer knew he was going to play just a month here. Even though, i'm not sure how much he's going to play when Rondo will be back for the Pelicans...
The only thing I can think of is they know the injury is more serious than first reported and they're trying to save face with the fans. They know there would be a serious backlash if he has structural damage. One of the main arguments against acquiring Chris Paul was his age and injury history.
