I hope he succeeds here. I feel like he has the talent to give our offense the boost it needs off the bench. All we need is a couple threes. D'Antoni needs to watch us against SAS again. We gotta stop pounding James Harden into the ground like he is Jim Brown. Get him off the ball some and play him less minutes, for the love of Darwin. 8-12 points from a guard off the bench right now, and we would be SET for months. DJ is obviously not the guy. Canaan is paid and deserves a fair chance.
Canaan played like someone who has not played organized bb in a month. That should improve with more practice and pt. We need him to be the old Cannonball, bring up the ball, drain some threes.
Bev-type D = that kind of defense x 82 games x 30 minutes + playoffs + psychological warfare. A world of difference! But looks like Canaan might be able to help in stretches against the smaller PG's in the league. And he might have the exact opposite effect against the Warriors, who will need Thompson/Young/Livingston to try to guard him somehow when the subs get in. If Livingston is going to post everyone up, then let's attack his weakness I guess.
Why are we acting like Cannaan is the answer to any of our problems? “Cup check” Cannaan is an okay player at best. I take it that Brooks wasn’t available any more. Maybe this tour will be better than the last. He did show growth last time he was here.
